NOOOOOOOOOO! Didn't the last two sequels do enough to make me ashamed to admit I'm a Matrix fan? Yeah, the first movie was damn good, even if it's nowhere near as smart as it likes to think it is, and the Animatrix is awesomeness incarnate, in my humble opinion, but Neo rising from the dead to become cyber-Jesus again? Do not want!

yeah... the war with the machines ended. With no war, there's not really any drama to propel any further movies. Anything after that would feel contrived as all hell and just ruin it from the get-go.Daemascus said:

The Matrix doesn't need more spin-offs. (I don't consider Reloaded and Revolutions to be sequels. They were too disjointed from the original.)

I thought the second and third movie were pretty forced and contrived to be honest...Not sure why they would keep making movies for a series whose legacy is already on shaky ground.
Whew. The second and third movies proved that the first movie was a fluke, and that the Wachowski brothers were far too pleased with themselves to make something that good ever again.
A fourth and fifth would have be ABOMINABLE. Plus, there's nowhere for the plot to go.

It would be interesting to see but the cost of getting 100+ 3D cameras gathered round in a semi circle for a 2 second shot may be a bit prohibitive.Callate said:
I think more Animatrix stuff would be the best road to go down. Except have it shown on the big screen this time. That way the story can go pre Matrix No.1 or show us what happens afterwards to The Matrix and The real world. I am sure there are plenty of animation companies who would jump at the chance, personally I would like the guys that did FF Advent Children to do the Anime, though definitely not the scripts.
