You realize that Mojang is still only made up of a little over a dozen people, right? Being a multimillion dollar company didn't instantly boost their size. And considering only a few of those employees work on Minecraft, expecting them to check every language pack is unreasonable. Not to mention finding translators for every language they wanted(whether multilingual, or not) would have been very expensive.

I Didn't take anything out of context, the reason i created the thread is because i wanted everyones views on it, and because of the chance that someone might actually know what the deal with it is.

And yes, The title doesn't seem to fit now.

And yes, I am more than aware of South Africa's troubles regarding race. That, along with its rape problem, are two reasons why I will never set foot in that country.

Oh I'm sorry, I supposed people shouldn't take human's being the property of another person seriously.

I'm sorry but that word comes from a time when black slavery was the norm, not an isolated incident and it's a vulgar word; it's not funny for it to be included in a game out of context.

I realise that this is the Internet and nothing is serious, but it doesn't change the fact that there's very strong connotations surrounding that word and that racism is a very real problem in the world to this day.

You're more than entitled to your opinion, just as someone is more than entitled to take issue with it.

I think you aren't used to being called out for your casual racism, and never stopped to think about exactly what you were saying and defending.

Both racism, and excusing racism by calling it humor, are unacceptable. There is definitely a part of the continuum where racial humor is fine, and if you can't tell that this is nowhere close to that point then you need to get out more.

It's all about intent with racism in my opinion, I think this was a light hearted joke, a mistake that was put into the final release.
