Honestly, I think its going to be a New X-wing or Tie Fighter game from them. But I am excited if is going to be a new adventure game. Then again, look what fucking happend to Sam and Max: Freelance Police and Full Throttle: Hell on Wheels.

Oh X-wing/Tie fighter would be amazing. I played the crap out of those games.

And yeah, any Tim Shaeffer game would be great if, and I say IF, they can recapture the magic... maybe work with double fine to do it right haha

If its not Republic Commando 2 or Starwars Battlefront 3, I'm not interested at this point.

I would love a new Maniac Mansion or Grim Fandango. I miss the hell out of the old point and click adventures. The new Sam and Max has been wonderful though and I'm excited about the New MI and the remake. I would love to see them do something using their classic 2D graphics. The Curse of Monkey Island looked 10 times better than Escape From Monkey Island.

How about you all go and finish KotOR 2?
Maybe they couldn't beat Darth Traya?

Anyway, I won't hold my breath over this. Likely be some teat of the Star Wars franchise.

Why would adventure game remakes be 'awesome for old school fans'? Those games still stand on their own. The charm has not been lost in the years. What would be awesome is if Lucasarts can go back to making less games at higher quality like they used to. Or a new space sim. That would be fantastic.

It's not like we had a flood of quality adventure games the last few years, especially not compared to the point-and-click adventures of the 80's and 90's, King's Quest, Police Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, Indiana Jones, Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Grim Fandango, ... Or even The 7th Guest, The 11th Hour, Phantasmagoria, Tex Murphy, ...

It's a sad day when a company can't excite people with new innovative ideas and can only get us excited with the promise of sequels that we're never going to think stand up to the original anyway.

It's like we're picking peanuts out of our own- .....ok I won't finish that.

Please make Battlefront 3. Compared to that, i don't care about any of their other franchises. Just make Battlefront dammit!

Is it Force Unleashed 2?
....

All I know is if they tease like that, it sure as hell better not be StarWars.

I have no problem with it being such a game, but don't tease it.

Please, please be something to do with Grim Fandango.
The only thing I could even think would be re-releasing it at a cheaper price. Making a new one would just end with LucasArts failing to deliver a similar (or better) experience.
Agreed, even if they got the same team and voice actors and composers and etc. etc., I still feel like that world was closed. It told a definite story, it had a conclusion, and even though the universe was particularly interesting... it just felt done to me. I say thee nay to unnecessary sequels.

Even a graphical upgrade would, I think, take away a bit of the charm. I understand the concept and reasoning for the Monkey Island remake, since, charming as that original game was, the graphic style and voice acting of the third game was probably the highlight of the series.

Monkey Island, of course, will never end. EVER.
