This is terrible, infact I would be glad if this cost upwards of £400 easily. At least you know then that the goggles will be somewhat decent.

Infact the idea of getting the original Call Of Duty game seems more exciting. Still, for those really die hard collectors this is impressive, it is just as good as that Halo 3 legendary edition.

WAIT, WHAT?! Night vision goggles? have they gone insane? I mean, what's next? are they going to put a fleet of republic battleships in orbit, and everyone who buys the special edition of the old republic MMO gets one?

The only way I would buy this, is if the goggles were guarenteed to fit on my head and have some sort of warrenty.

I'm with Jbird, I think the Arkham Asylum package is cool, this one is just "meh", but then again I'm not a big shooter/Call Of Duty fan. Plus what I heard about the "nukes R bad" message in the first Modern Warfare game they did, didn't exactly encourage me to experiment with the series.

Besides the 14" Batarang will go with my "nerd defense weapon" the Batarang Punch Dagger/Knuckles/whatever you want to call it. Got it from a knife shop, carry it sometimes, never had to try and use it to say how practical it is. Seems like it would hurt. Though for more serious close combat I'm much more likely to use my butterfly knife.

Are you fucking KIDDING me? Jumpin' Jeebus on hockey skates that is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of! "fully functional" night vision goggles? Who the hell would want/need such a thing just to play a silly video game?

(Rummages through Fallout 3 lunchbox & knocks over bobblehead looking for credit card, then puts great big "X" on November 10)

I wouldn't get my hopes up about the goggles performing like they look (although they do look awesome).

I'm guessing that the special edition will be around $200-250 USD (I couldn't imagine them charging much more), so the goggles will probably work like these.

I've been pricing out night vision optics, and this is the best that I could find without going up to generation 3 (military/law enforcement grade) gear. I like this perticular one because of all the accesories that it can be mounted too, or expanded with (headset, rifle scope, IR laser).
And those are about eighty bucks here.http://www.amazon.com/EyeClops-Vision-Infrared-Stealth-Goggles/dp/B00153F5QA/ref=amb_link_83720031_2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=right-1&pf_rd_r=0FQN21C5ANKJBP02TMNB&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470159711&pf_rd_i=507846 on sale for seventy as of writing. So $80 + the eighty for the "hardened" version of the game is $160. Making the potentionally fatal assumption these things work it's a fair price.

How incredibly boring, why do they even bother with these gimmicks?

I swear to God, when this thing launches in Europe, it will only contain the artbook and cost nearly twice as much as the US version.

Well, I am wary about things like that. I payed for the Halo 3 legendary edition for a helmet that doesn't fit on my cat.

I've always wanted a pair of Nightvision goggles, but these will probably be shit.
Well the game is already out so necroing this thread seems unnecessary. Although you are kind of right.

They do feel fairly cheap but they're sturdy enough considering how damn cheap they are.

Why should it? Was your cat ever selected to fight in the military? Or has the military ever expressed a desire to have a Feline Division?
