Whatever, just wash your hands.
But hey, instead of reflecting and wondering if becoming Republican Lite is actually a bad idea, go ahead and start with the doubling down now. I'll see you in four years when you start paying attention to politics again to yell at us about how we're not worth catering too because you'll just get a bunch of Republicans to vote for The Democrats instead.
Yes yes yes, we get it, you stand for nothing but feeling like a smug dick.

Wait, why are you still here? The election is over. It's time for you to go back to brunch Worgen and ignore the Current Events threads for another 4 years before you remember politics exist and you can come in to chastise us for daring to question whichever Dear Leader gets nominated for 2028. I suppose maybe a cameo or two in the Palestine thread now that Genocide is bad again with Team Red being in charge of it instead of Team Blue.

Democrats look in the mirror lololololololololololololololol

They're already blaming people like me who voted Third Party even though the math literally shows that if every single third party voter voted for Harris (even the Libertarian Party Third Party voters who obviously would never vote Harris), she STILL got her ass absolutely handed to her by Trump and The Republicans.

The best case scenario is they pull an Obama or Biden and lie about wanting to do some cool lefty shit, even if they don't actually mean it, just to try to draw people back in. Worst case scenario they'll double down and somehow manage to swerve even farther right than they currently are now. Either way, I'll see all the people who pay attention to politics every four years next time when I'm once again told this is the most important election of our lifetime so hold your nose and vote for the Republican Lites but NEXT time...

(Assuming there is a next time for getting to vote of course)
Side benefit of lying about a plan to do something good is that you normalize the idea that it's somehow impossible when you 'fail' to do it, or that anyone else who claims to want to do whatever it is must be lying too.

There was just an overwhelming expression of hate towards a demographic to which I belong. So, yes, on some level I feel vulnerable and disliked, as I did when I experienced discrimination firsthand. Sorry for trying to express self-loathing and depression, I guess, whatever you want me to say.
That expression should be regarded as no less overwhelming if Trump had lost with the same number of votes.

Thats because people that do that are scum who pretend to care about issues but really only care about feeling a smug sense of superiority over not voting for someone who could win and want to do some bullshit protest vote while we lose the supreme court even more, just like in 2016.
Yeah see, this is the exact kind of thing that I like disarming by voting democrat.

My viewpoints are very similar to his, I just think a protest voice coming from inside the party is more effective.

My smug sense of superiority is intact cause I still am a Bernie supporter. And I still maintain he's have won in 2016 if the dnc didn't rig it for Hilldog.

Also take a moment to analyze that Trump embraced a third party/independent candidate like Bobby, and won. Maybe if Kamala promised Cornell West some sort of spot in her cabinet she'd have done better with that 30% of black people in the Bronx who voted for Trump. Maybe if her VP was the green party lady she'd have done better with the environmentalist hippies.

Oh and on a more fundamental level, take a step back and realize it is democrats who are the sole obstacle to democrat victories. Republicans are a lost cause, burnt paper, it is useless bemoaning them. It is only useful to discuss things that we can do something about. If you don't do things that will get the neutralized ex-voters to start coming out again by appealing to them in new ways there's no chance of victory.

See, there is that smug dickness we all know you for. Go back to your ivory trash bin and sit in your ruined recliner and feel smug about voting for someone who was pointless. But its ok, your smugness will surely save those brown people you pretend to care about. Surely.

Bernie never had a chance. He was never going to win no matter what and you are delusional if you think otherwise. You just need to look at his support in the party, it never got over 30%. Besides, lefties are notoriously unreliable in the polls, they might yell and shout about how high and mighty their ideals are but they suck shit at voting.

No see, I totally agree with you on that. The "party" doesn't support him. My argument is that americans, those who were not traditionally wed to any party, would, based on a policy basis. His advocated-for policies all poll really high. Independents is the largest voting bloc in America so you don't need to appeal to the party if you appeal to enough of them. You can still win while snubbing both parties, which is the best kind of win.

My favorite things about lines from petulant boy wonders is always "we lost the supreme court!"

Reminder, they wanted to put Merrick Garland on the supreme court, what a step up that would be! Perfect encapsulation really, the R choices are complete partisan hacks, and the D choices literally do nothing to stop illegal partisan hacks.

You mean losing.

Losing is what they're doing right now. You can't double-lose. Maybe try something different?

And take a moment to reflect on who you're talking to. I'm not really what you'd call a "leftie" in the full context of the term. I'm far left on economic policy, but centrist on cultural issues (mainly in that I don't place much value on them either way and am fine with whatever as long as the economic policies are good) and yet Bernie has never stopped appealing to me. And I think most people are like this in America. They want better economics and don't really give a damn where the trans kids play soccer or whatever.

Basically I'm a proud class reductionist, one can be for left wing economics without all the woke nonsense, which is what Bernie stood for the most in 2016, and I think is the only way forward for consistent democrat wins.

Huh...

Worgen being a Zionist really shouldn't have surprised me. I'm not sure why it does but it does.

Although I suppose he could just be a Zionist when Team Blue is doing The Genocide and now that Team Red is in charge, Israel will be evil again.
Not a zionist, but also not stupid. You want to see a genocide, look at Rwanda, those are genocide numbers. Gaza conflict has been stuck around 30-40k for like a year. You could easily argue its a war crime, but only an idiot would think its a genocide, so far.

It doesn't matter if it's a genocide or war crimes. If you're killing and starving kids it's wrong. And if you do it on our watch we should kick your ass. This is simple stuff. We get it when they kill Peanut the squirrel so it shouldn't be so difficult lol.
