Not a zionist, but also not stupid. You want to see a genocide, look at Rwanda, those are genocide numbers. Gaza conflict has been stuck around 30-40k for like a year. You could easily argue its a war crime, but only an idiot would think its a genocide, so far.
You know, I was partially joking about the paying attention only every four years thing but if you honestly believe the count has just stayed at 30-40K after a year of turning Gaza into a parking lot, I might have been spot on with my assessment.

40k is the people they have counted with their very diminished capacity to count, you have another 100k at least buried under the debris of the 80% of buildings that have sustained damage in gaza, and maybe another 100k who died to preventable things like hunger or curable illness. It's insane what's going on over there.

Incrementalism is when you grade your war crimes so you don't feel bad.
It doesn't matter if it's a genocide or war crimes. If you're killing and starving kids it's wrong. And if you do it on our watch we should kick your ass. This is simple stuff. We get it when they kill Peanut the squirrel so it shouldn't be so difficult lol.
As long as Team Blue is doing it, they get to do just a bit of genocide, as a lil treat.

Guys guys, can't we all just get along and band together to agree that we need to start beating nazis in the face with socks full of bolts?
Surely that's something we can come together on?

...

I made it 5 days without alcohol as a crutch to hide the the crushing existential despair at the state of the world's insanity that is with me at all times.
That still counts for something right?

Sure, but I don't have a time machine to go back to the 30s and 40s when there were actual nazis around, so I guess...play wolfenstein or something?

You know what, sorry, I'm more used to the "how is Stein going to win" question, that's my bad.
It's all right, I also shoulder a bit of that for the curt question (it originally had the second post in it but I couldn't find a way to word it that I liked that didn't sound like a dick). And I apologize for doing it again in advance because:
So it's not like people are clamoring for Trump's ideas, he should be very careful about that whole "will of the people" line.
Why?

This whole point is moot, because it requires Trump to come to the conclusion that he lost in 2020 due to his unpopular decisions, and given everything he has said since literally the night of his loss back then, seems like he hasn't. The only thing he seems to have taken away is that he was cheated out of what was always rightfully his. Which leads to;
Electoral defeats, starting at the midterms.
Which is silly, both because of your earlier "voting is the lowest form of activism" comment (which, true), but also because the party knows this and is why a lot of their plans involve pulling up the ladder behind them. Right now, the County Recorder race for the 4th largest county in the entire US (Maricopa, Arizona which has also become a swing state of all things) is currently looking set to elect an election denier to control how our elections are ran, and has such gems as voter purges, limiting our early voting program, limiting voting to precincts capped at 1,000 (4.4mil pop in the county FYI) and removing electronic tabulation altogether for straight up hand counting ballots (for the vote tallying that people already piss and moan about taking too long and again, 4.4mil).

What’s with the extreme attitude? Did I not mention the importance of bc, as if that isn’t also a choice would-be mothers can make proactively? Or how about emergency contraception/morning after/rape kits for trauma survivors? That’s what hospitals are there for. If the sanctity of an innocent life means nothing to you simply because it wasn’t born yet, then that’s your choice. But again -

Just like any one of his patients has a choice, it’s your choice not to bother listening to this guy’s thoughts on the subject, while clearly having more experience with it than most any other guy ever would. When you can hear a heartbeat at 8-10 weeks, grabbing/sucking pieces of a kid out of a womb until there’s nothing left…no amount of posturing can spin that as anything but barbaric, let alone inhumane. Call me crazy or tell me to fuck off all you want if I find it difficult to rest well with my conscience. As a human being I’d imagine it at the very least to be the same for any woman and their unborn kid who’ve gone through the experience, however casual or dire the circumstances might’ve been.
"Barbaric" and "sanctity", really?

Yeah, fuck off!

I feel I'm being taken far more literal than I mean to. I mean yeah, Trump doesn't learn or grow, or think. It's not a genuine warning or anything to him, it's just a statement of his precarious position (electorally).

Which is silly, both because of your earlier "voting is the lowest form of activism" comment (which, true), but also because the party knows this and is why a lot of their plans involve pulling up the ladder behind them. This is admittedly the big question of course, how much voting will matter at all later. I do get that concern, but it's also something that wasn't going to be stopped by voting Harris. Even in the stage of electorialism, that's handled at the local level, as your example. But beyond that it's the proper chestnuts of agitation and direct opposition. Like, what was Kamala going to do to stop any of this? Biden didn't, Merrick Garland didn't, and Kamala promised to continue those policies. There could be radical action from the top to put this sort of nonsense to bed, Lula did it in Brazil, but that needed to happen 4 years ago, we're way too late for that now.

turns out that when your capacity to keep track of the dead is destroyed and you're being starved and killed, regaining the capacity to count the dead is not the highest priority. Who knew?
