If this debacle isn't enough for people to stay the hell away from Hammerpoint, they clearly haven't nose-dived into concrete hard enough.
Well, there are in fact people, who still defend the game. Not sure if I should laugh or cry...
Well, we can safely assume that they are of the same mind as Titov, which well.. isn't saying much.

And despite everything, some people will still defend this game to hell and back.

Yes many people have resorted to saying you're a DayZ fanboy if you bash WarZ.

These dev trainwrecks are the gift of comedy that keeps on giving.

Here's what I hope happens next: they change the name (NightZ?), rename the company, get new websites, forums, etc through some shadow companies, then release the same code with a few cosmetic tweaks as a complete new game, and vociferously attack anyone who points out similarities.

Pleaaaaaaaaaaase, it's all I want for Christmas.

So not only did they lie about things that were not in the game, which is already a violation of the law, they have outright violated trademark laws by publishing without proper licensing. It just keeps getting better and better for them. If this keeps up they will have to shut down completely, but not before a ton of people have been fooled into dishing out cash.
Not only that, but they've potentially done "irreversible damage" to the World War Z trademark name. At least you can bet Paramount's lawyers will use that against them.

Then Titov's all "Is not same game, The War Z is about zombies. NightZ is vampires! Is totally different."

I followed the admin's instructions and found this: http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=doc&state=4005:wu3h3k.2.3 (hoping this link works). It seems legit.

Do they even want to make that game or are they just running some sort of experiment to see with how much crap they can get away with.

It's not! The trademark is suspended according to http://tsdr.uspto.gov/#caseNumber=85682663&caseType=SERIAL_NO&searchType=statusSearch and http://assignments.uspto.gov/assignments/q?db=tm&qt=sno&reel=&frame=&sno=85682663 and http://ttabvue.uspto.gov/ttabvue/v?qs=85682663 show no records. The War Z is NOT a registered trademark! The reason it shows as "Live" on that page is because it is automatically given that status on application. 90 days after November 15 2012 it will not be live due to the suspension. The 90 days is designed to allow the users of the suspended trademark to change it.
Huh, okay. Sorry, I actually didn't know how the system worked.

Yeah...that one's especially funny when I've never played and have no intention of playing Day Z (mostly because I just hate zombies. I don't even want to play The Walking Dead game).

Yeah, definitely goin to require some sort of review of Steams review process after this debacle. I still find it hilarious this game was allowed to be released at all.
