so you are saying that utopia would be a society in which advancement would be ecouraged? and that utopia is a dream that one can pursue, but never actually achive? i think i would agree with you.
utopia wouldn't just be a state of society, it would be a state of mind, of everyone in that society. this is actually implicit, since everyone in a society gets influenced by said society.
no, it's not just a dream. but the utopia would not be a constant. it would change; new rules would be established as old rules wane and become useless. creating a society is one thing, but managing the rules is something nobody has done before. just look at the US, you have laws against walking a moose over a street or similar laws which are outdated. the passing of laws should not be bureaucratic process, it should be encouraged. i.e., whatever government would have to say yes to a law (within limitations, of course) and put it on trial rather than just discussing it and doing one final vote for it.
but me talking about this is just one small bit. this is just a puzzle piece in the great jigsaw of an utopia. while each part has its significance, it is only when the puzzle comes together you can see the real beauty of it-- the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
post: i'm not talking about trolls, because trolls usually don't care. i'm talking about people who put other people down because of other beliefs or disregard of irrelevant rules. i have no patience to talk to people like that, since nothing good will ever come of it.. my time would be wasted. and i don't like to waste time. i realize the irony of this, but i am hoping there are at least some people sitting out there in silence and finding this somewhat interesting. and somehow, intuition has never failed me.
