Valve Fans Form Left 4 Dead 2 Support Group

How about a "hey guys its just a game" group.

The only group these crazies need is a Therapy group "Roaring applause and laughter"

I'm glad that Left 4 Dead 2 is being a new game for the following reasons.
1) It looks awesome, and if it is then sweet, an awesome game.
2) If Valve screws up and it sucks, then we still have good old Left 4 Dead to play =)

I think the name is a little annoying though, could of come up with something cleverer. Or a subtitle or something /shrug

This. I think most reasonable people who arn't flaming valve or flaming the people flaming valve feel this way. The move is questionable, it isn't entirely fair to the fan base, and I think it would have been better as a paid expansion pack, but Valve has a lot of goodwill on there side, and any criticism you could come up with is a criticism of there marketing strategy, not there game design skills. Basically, Id like to say, "Valve, you have my blessing, but you better dazzle me".

Oh who am I kidding, Id buy anything Valve made.

Amen, brother. I'm going to play it and I'm probably going to love it, but... I can't help but be disturbed by Valve's recent behavior. This just isn't like them. Valve does not pump out sequels like this.

With membership currently around 350, the enthusiasts have a long way to go to catch up to the boycott group

As a person who's worked a few customer service jobs, I can tell you that 350 positive to 32,000 negative is roughly even. As the saying goes, "No news is good news". Basically, when people are happy, they usually don't feel as inclined to say anything. After-all they're happy and content, so they just go about their day. It's the people who feel they've been ripped-off or wronged in some way that make it a point to say something about it.
