... How have I not heard of this before? Barring something extreme, this is a day one purchase for me.RaikuFA said:Legend of Iya
One of the only games I backed through Kickstarter. It reached it's goal by a nose. Now it's being released on Steam? Oh happy days. It's a Metroidvania with Secret of Mana esque art style.
Yes, that is a elephant with gatling guns for tusks at 1:50.
Makes it even more awesome that it's all from one guy. There's also a demo out.major_chaos said:... How have I not heard of this before? Barring something extreme, this is a day one purchase for me.RaikuFA said:Legend of Iya

Seems like I'm not the only fan of the game on hereVie said:Hell yes, those guys have been sticking this out since the beginning of Greenlight!Andy Chalk said:Valve Greenlights 100 New Titles

What? I'm a car nerd with a penchant for designing my own cars and running a car company, sue me.
Maybe due to the fact that the majority of games of each Greenlight batch have yet to be on Steam even though most of them are done.Andy Chalk said:How so?Sam Lowry said:What a mess.
Yeah, I'm glad that one got the go ahead. The demo was pretty fun, though I hope they'll be able to fix some of the more sticky control issues.ScrabbitRabbit said:I'm really looking forward to Freedom Planet. It's like a cross between old-school Sonic and Rocket Knight Adventures. THe demo suggests it might possibly my favourite indie platformer ever, when it comes out.
How have I not heard of this? It looks amazing!shrekfan246 said:That and Shantae are the only ones I recognized that I cared about, though. Sad that Cloudbuilt didn't show up, I saw that the other day and it looks gorram glorious.
Man, so fucking happy this got Greenlit. Been waiting for that one to get through for a while.Andy Chalk said:Black Annex

Still no Full Bore or Assault Android Cactus, though.
The ratio of unreleased greenlights against actual releases to was less than 2 to 1 before the 100 dropped.AzrealMaximillion said:Maybe due to the fact that the majority of games of each Greenlight batch have yet to be on Steam even though most of them are done.Andy Chalk said:How so?Sam Lowry said:What a mess.
This is good news but Steam and the developers still have major issue with releasing the games after they've been Greenlit/
That's why I said Valve and the developers have issues. Most times its Valve choosing to Greenlight games that have already failed their Kickstarter (Project Awakened, Shadows of the Immortals), Valve choosing to Greenlight games that are done and then dragging their feet with an actual release, or very few times its the developers taking a stupidly long time to fix up their game after they've told people that it was finished.Ed130 said:The ratio of unreleased greenlights against actual releases to was less than 2 to 1 before the 100 dropped.AzrealMaximillion said:Maybe due to the fact that the majority of games of each Greenlight batch have yet to be on Steam even though most of them are done.Andy Chalk said:How so?Sam Lowry said:What a mess.

Part of the reason for all those unreleased games is due to Kickstarter. I know of at least 6 games that received enough votes to pass Greenlight despite the Kickstarter in question still running. And there is one game (Death Inc) whose kickstarter failed but was greenlit anyway.
Yes Greenlight is a pretty crap way of choosing games, but don't blame Devs who want a confirmed slot on Steam before taking the plunge.
