Now there's a rumor going around that HL3 is going to be announced at the VGAs.
"The rumor we?ve been passed states that we?ll see a teaser very similar to what was shown for Skyrim last year, meaning no essential gameplay. The teaser is said to contain CGI footage, and the close of the trailer fades to the Half-Life 3 logo with a release date fading in shortly after."
It makes sense actually, considering how well that worked for Skyrim.
