I think these people are being hired more so for their talent and the good, quality games that they've helped create instead of actual development for the PS3. I don't know, maybe, just maybe they'd work on a PS3 version of Portal 2, but I still have my doubts.

Well wouldn't it be a bit of a waste to hire important PS3 people and not use them for good PS3 ports?
With the guys they hired Valve could really get some quality programming for the PS3.

I'm a PS3 and a PC gamer. Valve is just making news while they delay the next half-life. I could care less about the PS3 valve games!

I guess this is good news. But I'm not that hyped up. Valve games are, and will most likely always be, best on PC.

Ugh, hate to sound elitist but I agree. Although Valve does make console games, they're sloppy seconds from the PC.

This is...interesting, to say the least. Valve is one of the few previously dedicated Microsoft companies, but if they become just any third-party studio...I mean, what with the new Mac support and everything...It's certainly a good move for Valve. And for the gamers yet-unwelcomed to the Valve party. I'm just curious to see how Microsoft likes the idea.
