So, after looking at Being Human the series I came up with this (recommended by the way, awesome show), which would you rather be:

Vampire: Eternal life but always craving for blood, also a hatred of sunlight, no more sunny days for you. Irresistable to the opposite sex humans, but your thirst may just lead you to kill them and we all know with advanced technology these days, you don't want all those dead corpses leading back to you, especially since you'll be doing a lot of biting. Animals in general hate you, because you are technically a zombie :D

Warewolf: Full moon transformation with profound amount of power, but the transformation is a pain unlike anything you've ever experienced, you have no conscious state when you transform so who knows who you'll kill or what you'd do. Irresistable sex appeal like vampires to opposite sex humans. Don't get caught out though on full moon deadline, if you should find yourself in a jail cell or such during the crunch time, don't be suprised if you wake up in a cage, zoo or science lab, heck not wake up at all, you've been shot dead. Oh, did I mention you are hated by cats, feared by dogs and loved by wolves.

Ghost: Again, eternal life and you can make living people's lives a living hell, however, you're forever lonely and stalked by the afterlife to move on towards the light and pass on. You are emotionless, you never feel pain, but then you never feel happiness either. You can make an appearance, but not in a usual human form, its usually the hollow terrifying form that scares people away from thier homes etc. Chances are children and animals will somehow see you, anyone else doesn't, unless you haunt them of course. You can't interact without haunting, so unless they like the paranormal and have weegee boards, you can forget about it.

Is this the sort of werewolf that suddenly triples in mass when it becomes a wolf or wolfman?

'cause we don't like people messin' wit' the laws of thermodynamics round here.

Vampire, it would be awesome...I'd probably have a blood farm of pigs or something.
Problem is I'd get caught very easily, I'd be having way to much fun per night xD

And when I'm sick of eternal life I can just end it myself in the most badass way I can imagine.

EDIT: No more sun will be painfull...(pun un-intended) but I'll manage.

Well, considering those ...I'd say vampire. I hate sunlight anyway.

I'd normally pick werewolf but only if I actually knew what I'd be doing and could at least turn every night. Then again I live in the city where wolves ...are not that common. I'd probably get run over by a car.

And definitely not ghost, lonely, scary and immortal...I'd never be able to touch stuff and I'd be bored a lot.

Ghost, I think. Don't much fancy crippling pain and potentially murderous black outs, and although I'm more of a night person, I do actually like being able to go out during the day. Sure, the loneliness that comes with being a ghost would suck, but that's easier to get around than the above.

Werewolf, regardless of the type I love werewolves.

For that couple of nights a month you become your true self, what every animal is, a being running on instinct. No social conformity to adhere to, no laws. Hunt, kill, feed, sleep. No guilt, no questions. It'd be great.

Who says you have to lose complete control of yourself when you turn into a wolf? I deny that. There should, however, be a growing hunger for meat.

Werewolf if I had it my way. Probably ghost if it's your way though.

The vampires in Being Human can abstain from blood, they just suffer withdrawal, like a Junkie. Also they can go out in sunlight, at least in the UK version.

I wasn't specifically going by Being Human, just going by the traditional warewolf lore, usually its a sharp pain at midnight beyond any pain felt before, like bones are being ripped out etc, then you wake up the following morning like you're having a hangover peicing together the actions of what went on the previous night. There are no real rules to warewolves of course, lol, considering they don't exist, but lets play the game for fun :D

Don't take Being Human too seriously, they didn'y apply the full lore of Vampires, just some of it, otherwise Twillight would be given credibility, lol, usually vampires hate sunlight and UV rays of any kind.

Well, you mention Being Human, so I thought I'd point out some flaws in your description of the way the Vampire Lore is treated in Being Human and how you described it.

Ghost please. Live for as long as I want to, the light representing the afterlife (presumably) there when I finally give up the ghost, supernatural abilities in the meantime, no need to hurt people to do it, no need to RELY on others for that matter, no concerns about pain and sunlight, and near-invulnerability? Yeah, that sounds like something I can get behind, probably.

Probably prefer to go through life first, but the wonderful thing about being a ghost is that you don't have to be alive to become one :)

Just mentioned it because it puts all three of the anomolies together, doesn't do the lore perfectly, but granted, it does it better than quite a lot of vampire, warewolf or ghost related tv series.

Still, I get what you mean. Suppose it depends though, because even my descriptions weren't full lore, just don't think anyone would be bothered to read the full lore, religeous etc. lol

Ooh! I loved that series!
In any case, I would go with being a Warewolf. Something about the beasty nature Ive always liked Mhm! The pain would suck but apart from that, nights I can't remember aint so bad ;)
Also I liked the benefits of being somewhat animalistic as a human!

Vampire. It's certainly my favourite of the three. Don't like sunny days anyway...I'll just wear a big hood for that.

Is the ghost permanently invisible? If not, then I'll go with that. I'd love to be able to walk through the street without people seeing me or bother me at all (something that really gets to me. I do not like walking through the street when there's other people in it, particularly if they're just stood there.) but I wouldn't like it so much if I could never be noticed. As the Ballad of Halo Jones proved, that is not a pleasant existence.

Werewolf. Its got the fewest drawbacks, and if you take precautions you can limit the amount of damage you do when you lose control (i.e. lock yourself in a room or make sure you are way out in the countryside when you transform). Sure, the pain would suck, but you have plenty of time to try and get it under control. And hell, you might even enjoy the freedom. And if you don't, its only once a month.

Vampire is just a tough position to be in. You get the fullest and best use of your powers, but you have to deal with bloodlust and the aversion to sunlight, which alone would be an EXTREMELY difficult transition for a human being.

Being a ghost would just suck. Immortality is pointless if you can't do anything with it, its simply existing like a inanimate object. Would be a sad, lonely existence.
