Viewtiful Joe 3: Should it happen?

No. I only played the first game and I enjoyed it immensely, but by the end I was wondering how they could work it into another game.

Make something origional for Nintendo again (well Mad World seems good enough for me at the moment) and I will be happy. Viewtiful Joe is like suda 51s games, although I would love a sequel (so NMH 2 is something I'm looking forward to), I would much prefer a new exciting game I don't know what to expect from.

I loved the first, though the second was just plain cheap (in terms of difficulty). If they make a third, they should make the game hard, but not frustrating, and they should keep the focus on Joe. Sylvia was boring as Hell to play.

Viewtiful Joe 2 shouldn't have happened. I'll give the series credit for being innovative but you can only get so far with innovation before it craps out.

I don't think a VJ3 is necessary, and besides, I'm pretty sure Capcom owns the rights to the Viewtiful Joe series, not Platinum/Clover themselves.

No it shouldn't - I think Viewtiful Joe was one of those original IP's that shouldn't have had a sequal.

Joe is in Capcom's latest crossover fighting game thing, and so was the last boss from Okami. They're probably not done with either franchise, but I'm sure it'd feel way different without Clover studios.

Defintely. I know it's abit ironic, the idea of a fresh unique game getting a threequel, but it's just too good to be left. If not, then Platinum games may as well make an HD remake, and they could easily implement 3D as well. I really want to play the original, now. At some point I had the sequel, but then gave it away. Me=fucking idiot.
