Maybe... I can alter my voice a fair bit, so I might even be decently good at it.

But... It also sounds like a crazy job where i'd be stuck in a recording booth and eventually want to go crazy. >_<

I can also actually make my voice flange, meaning I can basically make myself speak in 2 voices, it's pretty awesome!
Awh, I can only do that when I yawn. Though it's usually sufficient to freak people out. :D
I'd like to know if it can't be learnt for regular speaking though. Can it?
I'm not sure, as far as I've known I've been able to do it, since I can remember, it's hard to describe how I do it.

Yeah, I know what it's like. Still, yawning is far too situational...

If you speak, you have an accent.

If you don't speak, I'm terribly embarassed by my comment.

[small]Please no "I'd love to have X's voice" because we all know that Jeremy Irons and Morgan Freeman win that competition.[/small]
Have you forgotten Dan Green?

OT: I would love to be a voice actor! Although, I doubt I could be very convincing(it is really hard for me to fake emotion). But I am able to mimic several actors' voices fairly well, and can even mimic some singers. I also have a knack for remembering most things that I hear, so I could just have someone say my lines to me instead of just reading them.
Or I could go the Dee Bradley Baker/Michael Winslow route and do vocal effects(Winslow) or alter my voice sound funny for odd characters(Baker).

I'd absolutely love to.

It's like being an actor only you don't have to deal with all the bullshit stress!

Seriously though, I've actually thought of pursuing that as a career and I admittedly practice several voices when I'm by myself so I can strengthen my range :D

I would give my left lung to be as respected a voice actor as Wendee Lee or Caitlin Glass.

Hell, I'm a walking VA database and dictionary. Why WOULDN'T I want to do it?

It would be pretty dang fun, yeah.

Though since I'm Swedish, I would just be forced to either play a Russian or a German guy.

Because that is all Swedish actors get to do outside of Sweden.
Well i believe Disney has quite the lot of Sweedish actors and quite the lack of Russian and German spies o_O

Well I already do radio, so I just need to get from presenting on air to being a voice actor. My voice can express different emotions pretty easily, but I don't think I have that kind of diversity. Oh well. One step at a time. Would be a pretty sweet job. It'd be hard work, no doubt, but I think I'd always be stuck in the same kind of role if I did get to that point.

Yes. Mainly because I can modulate my voice if I want to any it's an easy and well-paid way of getting into the industry.

I seriously considered getting into a career for voice acting, many of my teachers told me I could be quite good at it. The only thing that really stopped me was that I have no idea how to enter the career field. Recently a friend got the idea back into my head and I've been thinking about it more.

The job does interest me. I find myself often reiterating dialog said in video games or cartoons in a way that I think would've sounded better. Plus I hear it pays pretty well, too.

I don't have a settled accent, since I've never lived long enough in one place before. At a stretch, I guess you could say I have an 'English' accent, but that's about it.

It's not as glamarous as you might think. You get to enjoy mammoth recording sessions where they cram as much work in as possible since you're paid by the hour. Then they make you record 97 different variety of "Ouch. I have been shot in the balls." Then you learn you didn't get the main part because they gave it Steven goddamn Blum (who is also playing the villain, the villains henchman and any random russians the game may require. All in the same voice)

I'd loved to have been any of the Task Force or SAS guys in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 1 or 2. Or an American. I can do an alright american accent. I'd have loved to try Far Cry 2 though, my friend says i can do a great south african accent and it's just so much fun to do.
