EDIT: For some reason, it didn't come out as a poll. Sorry.

Have you had enough of the vuvuzelas at the World Cup?

Hmmm, I am going to go with whether or not they should be allowed? I would say no. First of all, it is incredibly distracting for the people watching the sport. But more importantly, the players on the field have a much harder time concentrating (or so I hear). Remove them, I say!

I just want to know how they blow those things fucking constantly during every game. Also, apparently the people who want them banned are racists. Am I missing something here?

The things are stupid. They were going to be banned but then the south africans said no, its a traditional south african experience it cant be banned. Since when is having 130 decibels blasted into your ears an experience other than a ****ing horrible one?

I feel sorry for anyone that bought tickets to the world cup and has to sit through that for what they paid. I feel sorry for the players too.

I hate those horns and I think they should be banned.

I mean I'm glad the country is making money off of theses, but its pretty obvious that many people (including myself) cant stand the constant noise.

Yeah ban those stupid things. I don't care if it's part of your tradition, it's obnoxious and distracting. It's making me not look forward to finally watching a full game on Wednesday when Switzerland plays Spain. Gives me a headache. If I want to hear that noise, I'll stick my head in a beehive.

As someone who only ever shows interest in sport when there's a big tourny like this or the Olympics, I found they enhanced my viewing of the England / USA match. I could pretend they were all big bees.

They're incredibly annoying. Ban them and give our ears a break from the incessant crescendo of bees with megaphones that is the Vuvuzela.

I love them, and how angry they're making everyone. It's just something thats taken off in South Africa, as for distraction and excessive noise they can't be much worse than having 70,000 people just shouting abuse and singing. They're not difficult to block out either if you're watching on tele, they've not disrupted my viewing one bit.

And I've bought one, can't way to annoy people at festivals this summer.

Annoying fucking things. And players are complaining that they can't hear the ref whistle. I don't care how traditional they are, a single monotone drone is fucking irritating as hell for 90 fucking minutes. I don't think that I can take many more games. BBC and ITV should offer alternate audio tracks with them removed.

It's like in a video game when someones droning on their mic, or puts music on.. but you can't mute them or change server.

Some South Africans said no, most actually hate them here as well, it is just that the people who do want them, REALLY want them. They sound horrible and I would know, I've been woken up by them.

Don't blame innocent South Africans... were really not that bad.

Christ they're annoying.

Why would someone want to make a noise like that?

I hope they are banned, though that looks unlikely.

'kin hell. Are they really 130dbs? I have been in big stadiums for concerts and had ears ringing for days after - but that is because I deliberately went to listen to music. I don't know that human voices can go that loud for 90mins strong.

Saw a player today who kicked the ball after the whistle had been blown and the ref reached for yellow as that is offence. Player was tapping his ears and shrugging - indicating clearly "I can't hear you". Never seen that at a big place like Wembley during a cup final, if it is detrimental they should do something. But they won't. Some of my housemates are now refusing to watch the group stages which makes me a sad panda (I love heckling the telly with my mates).

I'm in two minds about them, really. On the one hand, they make the rather distracting and irritating noise of a HUGE swarm of mutant bees... on the other, it's going to make sports quiz shows much easier in the future.

"Now, watch this 30 second clip with the buzzing in the background- can you tell me which world cup it was?"

...Hmmm...
