they are, but hey, it's microsoft so you have to pay for them. Valve responded by waiting in order to actually make it worthwhile to pay for it.

without fixing some very fundamental problems that have been in the game since day one.
It's the heavy's taunt. What are these problems you're talking about?
Oh you know, those glaring problems like it's user friendliness, sense of humour, scales fine balance, lack of elitism, teamwork and so forth...

Are any of these updates ever going to find their way to the xbox? If so, when, because I would like to see some fresh stuff in TF2.
I'd say probably not, Valve make no secret of their relative dislike of consoles. The console version of the Orange box is also not really their responsibility, it's mostly handled by EA who distribute it, so extra content is unlikely. If it comes from EA then the chances of it being free are between non and non-existent.

VALVe are releasing the updates on the Xbox and you have too pay (Damn Micro$oft) and EA aren't releasing them for the PS3.

Yeah, but they will probably be dirt cheap. Valve does have a say in it, after all. Not sure how much of a say, but I'm sure they don't want each class costing you another 10 bucks.

Also: Anybody interested in criticising/commenting on the actual review? :p

Never!!!

Actually, seemed like an interesting look on the inside of TF2, gears and all. Especially interesting for someone like me who owns the Xbox 360 version, and will have to decide whether he wants to pay for the extra stuff.

What I'm really wondering is "Do any of these updates break the game balance"? As great as Valve may be, I wonder whether they really can keep the game balanced with such heavy handed changes (eg. new minigun does 25% less damage, slows enemies).

All the weapons so far are balanced. Depending on the enemy team's composition, the map, and the game mode (and your side) practically EVERY weapon is useful. The only weapon that isn't at all useful with the unlock is probably the bonesaw, simply because the 25% ubercharge boost (from the upgraded bonesaw, the ubersaw) is FAR more useful than the negatives of the 20% slower hit rate, but the melee weapon is so rarely used it isn't a gamebreaker.

Ah, thankyou.
