Nolan North...That's all I asked for.

Not Nathan Fillion, not Wahlberg.

Nolan North himself.

He looks enough like Drake, and his voice IS Drake. And he could easily pull it off.
this could've been very sweet, and extremely immersive in the movie.

OT: oh well..im sure i'll see the movie, hey it might suprise me and be an alright B movie, but im not holding my breath for it really.

Unfortunately for Wahlberg the only thing Ive seen him in that wasn't so bland I forgot it immediately was Max Payne.

I was at least a little interested when Nathan Fillion was in consideration, but Marky Marks inclusion destroyed the tiny glimmer of maybe in my head.

I vote for this movie not to be made at all and the executive who thought it was a good idea to rip ideas off games to be shot in the back.

Both Fillion and Wahlberg are too old and chiseled to be Nathan Drake. Drake looks like he's in his early 20s or something, and he's sort of got a plain everyman type of appearance. Neither one fits the part IMO. Nolan North, Drake's actual voice, with the right stylist and a little bit of a workout program, actually could look like his character. Though I'm not sure if he has any experience in actual onscreen acting.

I like Wahlberg, but come on...he's not Nathan Drake.

I'd really love to see Fillion get the role, personally.

Personally, I don't give a damm who's playing Nathan Drake (it could be Whoopi Goldberg for all I care); I'm just really happy that David O'Russell is set to direct this movie.

For those of you who aren't film fans, let me put it this way: if David O'Russell truly does direct, this will be the first time in movie history, that a video game movie is directed by a REALLY REALLY GOOD director. So far, the best director to have directed a video game movie has Mike Newell, and he hasn't made a great movie in years.

In other words, this is the first video game movie we should actually be anticipating!

I'm with you on that one. But if not Nolan North, then Nathan Fillion is the next best option. Mark Wahlberg isn't a bad actor, but NOTHING about him says "Nathan Drake" to me. At all.
This. He's definitely a good actor, but he carries an undercurrent of intense anger in ALL of his characters. All of them, even in I heart huckabees and Invincible. Completely inappropriate for Nathan Drake.
Glad someone else has notices Wahlberg's consistent anger. I was beginning to think I was the only one. Then again, no one is ever the only one, but I've never seen anyone else say this!

Side note: WTF? Captcha? If I have to do this every time I post it's going to be REALLY annoying.

I hope they realise that none of its fan base is going to see this movie unless Nate is in it. This movie will crash and burn with its intended audience.

This movie is going to crash and burn already. Remember that they are essentially turning Uncharted into National Treasure 3 with bringing Nathan's father and uncle in, probably Deniro as the father since he seems to play those roles a lot lately. They also want them to be a family of bad-ass treasure protectors... not hunters but protectors... look just change the name! Name it something else, but don't just acquire a license and then do nothing with it.

I know Hollywood enough to know there is no guarantee of actor appearance in a move until a trailer(that has actors) comes out.
