So ruining Max Payne wasn't enough for Wahlberg?

Mark Wahlberg doesn't really seem to have the charisma for the role
This just about sums it up.

Nolan North...That's all I asked for.

Not Nathan Fillion, not Wahlberg.

Nolan North himself.

He looks enough like Drake, and his voice IS Drake. And he could easily pull it off.
But to me he is already too old.

Just so long as I get to see Mr. Pesci back on the big screen again, I'll be freaking ecstatic. I don't give a rat's ass about anything else by comparison.

They could've and should've got Nathan Fillion. They stupidly did not. Nolan North would've been great, too.

I will not be seeing this.

De Niro as Sully...well De Niro can nail Sully's arrogance, that's for sure. But I'd go for these 3 options:
- J.K. Simmons
- Jeff Bridges
- Bruce Campbell

As for Elena, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Kristen Bell. She nailed the way-too-nosey-kick-ass-female-lead role in Veronica Mars. Only downside is that she might appear to be a little too young though with a young actor as Wahlberg for Nate that might not be that much of an issue.
Ha! If Jeff Bridges played Sully, I'd watch it no matter who played the other roles - although part of me would love to see Nathan Fillion as Drake. Kristen Bell as Elena/ Miscellaneous girlfriend would be pretty cool too.

You know, I'd rather imagine an Uncharted movie with that cast than go and see the one they're making. I think that's a little sad.

David Boreanaz as Nathan Drake?
Anyone?
Oh? Interesting, hadn't considered him. That's so crazy it could work!

I will tell you all why its not gonna be Nolan North(who i wouldn't be against) or Nathan Fillion(i would be against) as Nathan Drake. It will be Mark Wahlberg on credentials and age. He has already proven himself in the role of an action star and would fir Drake's age prefectly. Nolan North would also be a great choice if not for the fact that he is too much of a gamble to the movie studios to make since his name is not really going to fill the theatres. Nathan Fillion would be a bad choice as Drake because of his age. He is just TOO old to play the role. However, I think he would a great kind of mentor or role model that influenced Drake to become who he is. In addition, it would be great if they where to compete for the same prize in the movie. There Nathan Fillion problem solved.

Plus, he does a rockin' Christopher Walken impression.

I have no idea why I brought that up.

OT: I'll say it again - even if I'm kind of interested of seeing a movie with De Niro, Pesci and Wahlberg, an Uncharted movie does not need to exist.

At all. It's like making a damn Mass Effect movie for crying out loud.

Crap. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/100901-Mass-Effect-Movie-in-the-Works]

Alright, it's like making... eh, a Heavy Rain mov... Oh. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/98724-Heavy-Rain-Film-Rights-Optioned-Years-Ago] Okay then.

Do your pointless little Uncharted movie then, you wasteful, money-grubbing hacks.

wait a second isn't heavy rain already a move?

OT: i gotta be honest i have never seen a movie with wahlberg in it so i cant really say anything for him, but i haven't seen much from fillion other than serenity (no i have never seen firefly, i realise its basically sacrilege but it was never shown on tv here in the uk and its hard to find dvd's of it around here) which was rather good and he seems like he'd do a good job at drake.

Both Fillion and Wahlberg are too old and chiseled to be Nathan Drake. Drake looks like he's in his early 20s or something, and he's sort of got a plain everyman type of appearance. Neither one fits the part IMO. Nolan North, Drake's actual voice, with the right stylist and a little bit of a workout program, actually could look like his character. Though I'm not sure if he has any experience in actual onscreen acting.
he has watch the behind the scenes things on the uncharted games you'll see the actors actually have to act out the scenes for motion capture.

Plus, he's done quite a few other acting jobs. I remember he appeared on an episode of CSI Miami. And he was a big soap opera actor, appearing in I think St. Elsewhere, although I may be wrong.

I can see De Niro being a great villian that steals the show from Mark Wahlburg.
Pesci can be his bat-shit crazy super henchman. It would be pretty cool to see Pesci give Mark a beat down. Also it's kind of weird hearing about this after watching Casino last night.

Pesci can still do crazy right?
