Hey everyone,

I certainly hope I'm not the only one who is in this boat. There's a girl who I'm pretty much besotted with but she's been in a really long relationship with another guy that doesn't look like it will end any time soon.

Anyway, I'm good friends with this guy so I would never want those two to break up as they're really good together, but at the same time I really wish I was with her.

So have you guys ever had an experience like this / are experiencing this?

P.S - Girls, I know this can work the other way round too, it would be good to get your thoughts too.
Honestly, do it. It's your life you can be greedy. I snatched my gf from her ex easily and now I'm engaged. Just make sure you can fight or that her bf won't care much. Also as a note , would she want to be with you is a huge question you need answered

Well it's a good thing you're not a part of The Southern Gentleman's Code of Chivalry. One of the rules is "A Gentleman will never try to take another man's lady"

Ok, I get that, I just meant near the beginning it was sad. Hang on didn't we have a conversation in a thread about profile pictures *snaps fingers* oh yeah you're the girl that got me into watching Azumanga Daioh.
Yes, I am. ^^ I should have remembered your Big Daddy avatar.

And yeah, at the time, I was miserable. I was so sad, I wrote poetry about it - which might not sound that odd, unless you know how much I dislike most poetry. I tried to put it to music, so they'd be lyrics (which I like) instead of poetry, but I'm no composer either so it came out sounding like a bad country song. And I don't like country either (no offense intended to those that do).

This subject enrages me.

I suspect none of the people who say "Go for it", or, "Yeah I've done it before, fuck the other guy" have actually had a woman cheat on them.

Happened to me once, and I swear by the life in me it will never happen again.

I'm lucky I got away with what I did.

He was in the hospital for quite a while.

I informed my then wife that it was over, and I inform every subsequent girlfriend of what will happen if she cheats on me. She is taking another person's life into her own hands when she contemplates it.

Long story short, don't do it people.

You may think her boyfriend is just a tool, drug addicted scumbag, whatever...

Doesn't mean he wont kick the shit out of you when he finds out.
Er, no offense man, but that sounds like a really good way to get yourself killed/hospitalized if you happen to run across someone who knows how to take care of themselves--all it takes is one guy with a concealed carry permit. Might want to try putting the blame where it lies: with the person who cheated on you. Not trying to tell you how to live your life or anything, just some food for thought, unsolicited though it may be.

OP: Yeah, I've been in that situation and it's definitely best to leave it be. That kinda thing can get real complicated, real fast. Not to mention that typically any girl who leaves her current boyfriend for "something better" is perfectly willing to do it again if the opportunity presents itself.

That...that's kinda hot (._.)
Okay, I've been trying to figure this out for a couple of days now, but... what exactly did you find "kinda hot" about my very sad story? I mean, I didn't tell you guys about the hot sections of the story - they didn't seem to fit with the general sad theme of this thread.

Remember that guy I dated to distract myself from the situation? Yeah, I did stuff with him I haven't done with anyone else. I broke the poor guys heart in the end, which I regret, but before doing so I was a kinky little sex maniac - in my efforts to distract myself, I was the best sex he'd ever had.

So, I guess what I'm asking is, how did you know about that part when I hadn't talked about it yet, and didn't plan to? And still don't plan to, apart from the vagueness I just said above. If anyone's really curious, I guess you could PM me - I'm in a funny mood today (I didn't have to go to work today due to weather), but not funny enough to get put on probation.

You're pretty cool, mind if I add you as a friend?

DROP A DEUCE!! I've opneed a can of worms now :D

Just nice to hear stories of chicks who dig chicks and dudes. If I was directing a film of your life, you would have popped in on those two "by accident" one night, maybe to ask to borrow some sugar... and then they would invite you to get stuck right in.

But I had no idea that you sexually atom-bombed your distration-guy!

:D

I will be honest, I have slept with my best friend's girlfriend before. I wouldn't recommend it. Not because the sex was bad, quite the opposite, but because it sure gets complicated when your friend finds out what has been going on.

^^;;

Actually, there are quite a few bi-girls on the Escapist. There was a bisexuality thread a few weeks back that brought us out of the woodwork, and the "talk about sex" thread last week was pretty active for that crowd as well.

As far as "popping in by accident" my friend had a single, and locked his door (and owned no sugar to borrow). That said, I actually suggested that option to them directly. I got turned down. Believe me, I tried to talk them into it - more than once, actually. I tried getting drunk with them - they just kicked me out when they wanted to get busy.

There was a reason I was so very frustrated. **sigh**

Absolutely, I've had similar situations, but you don't make time with another man's lady. You just don't.

And still, being her friend means i get to see her lovely smile so that's a win in itself.
I wanna kick you in the shin right now... Seriously...

This may sound like a good idea, but it isn't... Put some distance between you two and date someone else, or else I'm calling to have your man-card repossessed...

Just telling you, what I would tell any of my friends in the same situation... There's only one thing worse than a friend who's trying to make a move on your gf and that's a friend lingering, playing the girl's bff so he can move in when things start to look like they're not going well...

If the guy is a friend, the girl is strictly off-limits. If the guy is just some average schmuck off the street, to hell with him. Them's the breaks.

Ive been in that boat before. It does indeed suck. Luckily for me i didnt personally know her boyfriend, but if it was a friend's girlfriend then i don't know if i could stand that.

I've been the guy with the girl and the friend that wants her. Long story short-ish, he put his number into her phone before he knew who she was, started texting her a lot and i didn't mind all that badly to try and stop it. She then told me she started to have a crush on him and it was apperent that he wanted her so i asked her to stop it. He came to me with some sob story about how he just wants someone to talk to and that he's lonely, while suggesting to her that it doesn't matter if it bothered me because she should be with him. Cue him then trying to get dirty pictures out of her and now i have to stop myself from throwing a punch whenever i see him.

Article 3 of the Bro Code states:
If a girl falls into the following criteria, she is off limits forever until the end of time:
A. Was an ex-girlfriend
B. Your friend specifically told you he wanted her
C. Is your buddy?s sister (However, if it?s your buddy?s cousin, well she?s up for grabs, and you?re welcome to rub it in his face for years to come)

that being said i've never wanted another guys girl
