OOC: @Kirke I know what kind of move he was doing, but for a swing like that, his feet would have to hit the ground at around the same time that the blow connected. Otherwise he'd be swinging to early. The strike MIGHT hit James, but if it missed he'd land on the point of the blade and just fall over.

the digits on Deadeye's scanner changed rapidly, showing up random numbers, percentages and levels. "Interesting" he said as he turned around to see a sphere of electricity drop down and a glimpse of what looked like a women ducking down. "You might want to give up now Girl, I don't think I can bring myself to hurt a female...." he said as walked over, his crossbow arm materialized a target aim and a slot to store bullets.

OOC: @Kirke ... In the interest of moving along, I'll alter the first upper block to a sidestep instead. James would still grab Meta before he could straighten up from the blow and then try to execute Meta (who I remind you has a helmet) via pistol shot. I maintain that by darting right in past the cutting point of the bblade he could get right in Meta's faceplate and completely ruin his attack, but it would be a more high risk strategy than simply stepping to the side, and either strategy would be equally easy to follow up as described.

Laguna saw the man with a crossbow walk over and stood. "Excuse me, but I amn not a girl. I get mistaken for that a lot, and I have no idea why, so lemme just clear that up."

Reacting to Carmen's attack, Oz changed his handling of his axe, spacing them apart so he could use the haft to block her slash. "Of course I didn't forget our wager." He replied, still smirking. Hopping back, he changed his handling of the axe to his normal attacking pattern, holding the axe upside down and to his right. Stepping forward once again, he swung upwards in a crescent pattern at the point where Carmen's right arm met her shoulder. "After your showing in those previous fights however, I am more than confident that I cannot lose, so do not expect any surprises."

The other five Dark Knights were watching the bout that was going on. Two were focused on the fight between Oz and Carmen, while the others paid attention to the rest of the competition.
"So what do you think his odds are?"
"I cannot say. She has impressive magic for certain, but my brother is no lout."

Deadeye blinked twice and took off his scanner to get a clear look at Lagunna. "Well....didn't expect to be fighting one of those 'cross dressers' people" He said, chuckling a little as put the scanner back on. "But heck, a fight's a fight!" He said with a smirk, then loaded his crossbow arm and fired two explosive rounds towards Lagunna.

"What? Dude, I am not a cro-" Laguna stopped midscentence as he saw the man load his bow and fire. He dodged both bolts, albiet barely. Laguna ran towards the man, firing his machine gun on full-auto.

Carmen shrugged a bit as she flapped her wings again, sending her to the slide and away from Oz's crescent slash. [color=bb0066] "Sure I lost. Does that matter now?" [/color] She calmly took her right hand and thrusted a palm toward Oz's midsection, however she didn't actually hit him. The palm summoned a violent wind, aiming to simultaneously cut Oz a few times and send him back a good distance.

As James reached to grab the Meta, he seemed to slow down. Either that, or the Meta was speeding up. He stood up straight and holstered his brute-shot, then grabbed James's outreached arm and twisted it violently, following it up with a heavy kick to the chest just before time returned to normal. The Meta then ran to the edge of the arena amd leaped about halfway up to the gallery, sticking the blade of his brute shot in and anchor him to the wall. He quickly climbed up the rest of the distance and broke the glass with a few punches. At this point, various alarms could be heard alongside some gunfire, as the Meta fought its way towards the AI core.

Surprised by the Meta's sudden burst of speed, James was bowled over, his pistol clattering from his hand. Grunting in pain he heaved himself to his feet again and glared at the Meta as he seemed to focus on something entirely different.

"Where are you going? We were just getting started!" He demanded.

OOC: Alright then. I guess I should be getting some sleep anyway.

Deadeye opened the his left palm of his hand and the metal of the back of it expanded and stretched, creating a thin barrier against the bullets. a few hit the metal and stayed put or bounced off, the other lot went straight into his leg and hand. "Not bad gunman" He said as his hand returned the metal back into hist glove shape, he swung his left arm at Lagunna, with a force hitting concrete.

OoC: @Kirke ...what is the Meta doing?

Laguna stepepd back slightly, doging the punch, then hit Deadeye in the face with the butt of his machine gun.

Feeling the wind kick up, Oz shielded his face with one of his gauntlets as his armor glinted blue once again and he was pushed back. Aside from the cloth tabard he wore over his armor being cut up and having a few shallow cuts on his face, he didn't seem to have taken much damage from the attack. "Not for the moment I suppose." Holding out his free hand towards Carmen, he chanted, "Bring the pain to blood and flesh, this demon cast from mortal coil!" A bolt of purple energy was launched from the palm of his open hand and flew towards Carmen. Whatever the bolt struck, it would explode into a dozen blades of energy that would leave painful looking cuts across anything.

After getting hit in the forehead, Deadeye grit his teeth. then kicked him with mechanical foot and tired to make him back off, when he got a change, he fired a couple of bullets from his crossbow arm at Lagunna. "Don't you DARE it me in the face again..." He said, seeming quite pissed off.

Laguna fell back, knocked over by the kick. He stood and tried dodgin the bolts, but one hit him in the shoulder. He gasped in pain, then threw a grenade with his good arm.

Carmen smiled as she moved her hands around in a circle. [color=bb0066] "Cast away all righteousness, to find your true path... 6th circle... Heresy!" [/color] A pure black magic circle opened in front of the succubus as she finished tracing the circle with her hands. The bolt of energy disappeared into it and the circle disappeared. If Oz was observant, he'd notice the jewel on Carmen's dagger was the same color as his spell was. She simply stood staring at Oz with a sly smile on her face and what seemed like a small aura of green around her. If Oz stared at her for too long, he'd start to feel a little woozy.

Deadeye jumped out of the way of the grenade, falling on his left should hard. "Jeez....I forgot how much metal weighs..." He muttered as he got back up and continued to fire at Lagunna until his clip ran out, the empty clip fell out the bottom and he catch it with his left hand, putting it in one of the bullet poaches for the mean time.

Laguna dropped a barrier, and hid behind it until the crossbow stopped firing. Once there was a lull in the arrows, he popped out from behind the barrier with a sniper rifle, aimed at Deadeye's chest, and fired.
