Carmen waved cheerily at the man walking in, or more accurately an astral double of her stepped out from her and did so. [color=bb0066] "It's quite lovely, indeed. Who are you?" Looking back up to Ragnar, she tilted her head, her amused expression taking a confused one, though it would be hard to tell if she even meant it.

Moving unnaturally fast, Kenna dodged to the side in a blur of motion, then ran at the guard firing at her. She jumped, slashing at him with her claws as she came down.

"Morkai's breath!" Quickly he pushed past Solaris and dropped to one knee, rapidly laying his bolter aside as though to try and help Carmen. What in Russ's name would she do that for? She only had to... oh. Oh, damn. As qucikly as he had knelt, he snatched up his bolter and rose to his feet, placing a hand on Solaris's shoulder and backing away.
"Get clear, quickly!" He snapped, readying his bolter in his free hand.

Kenna would knock the soldier off balance, but not kill it. Rex also seemed to ditch the stealth tactic and brought out a shotgun as he barged into the small clearing, firing with reckless abandon. This drew attention away from Kenna for the moment.
Hearing the sound of a bladed object piercing flesh, followed by the dull thud of a body hitting the floor, sounds Solaris recognised all to well, she turned around, seeing Carmen's corpse laying on the ground. Although it didn't fase her in the slightest, Solaris kept up her act of being meek, and cupped her hands infront of her mouth once more, gasping as her eyes widened. When Ragnar pushed past her, Solaris stumbled slightly, and backed away.
When Ragnar rose again, and pulled Solaris away, she would point towards Carmen's astral projection if it was still there after the real Carmen had seemingly died, even as dragged, or would move with him, and get behind his large armour for cover if it was not.

Carmen's astral projection would have disappeared as she had stabbed herself. Her corpse would feel hot to the touch to Ragnar, but would rapidly cool down as the blood in her continued to leak out.
Back in her room, Carmen yawned and rubbed her throat as she stepped out of her respawn pod. [color=bb0066] "I wonder if he's tearing the place up thinking I'm simply hiding... or regretting his actions... Either way, that hurt... but was an easy enough way to get out of that situation." So it looks like people actually can respawn anywhere after all... Though my 'partner' thinking I'm dead might be fun to see. [/color]

Ness jolted as she recognized the sound of a body dropping to the floor and began to scramble up back to her feet, momentarily reinvigorated.
Back in her room, Carmen yawned and rubbed her throat as she stepped out of her respawn pod. [color=bb0066] "I wonder if he's tearing the place up thinking I'm simply hiding... or regretting his actions... Either way, that hurt... but was an easy enough way to get out of that situation." Once he thought they might be far enough away and Solaris was safely behind him, Ragnar took his bolter in both hands and raised it to aim at the spot above Carmen's body. He stood this way for some time, lips peeled back in a silent snarl and yellow eyes searching, obviously waiting for something to happen, and yet seemingly uncertain of exactly what that would be.

Another soldier tried to shoot her only to be blown away by Rex and his, impossibly large and multibarreled, shotgun. "He called shotgun, so I had to give it to him." he said in a deadpan but with a snarky grin on his face.
All the soldiers seemed to be dead, until a larger one armed with a minigun stood up and started spinning up his weapon, clearly intending to fire at the two. Kenna could probably reach him with her speed, though taking him down would be another matter.

"S-something is n-not right..." Solaris commented after a brief moment of standing behind Ragnar with nothing happening, a slight tremble in her voice. "Sh-she said she wasn't w-willing to risk seeing if th-the ressurection machines would w-work outside the arena... W-why would she do this, then...? I-it doesn't m-make sense!" As Ness woke, should she look to Solaris, she might see Solaris was trembling lightly, clasping her hands together tightly. There were brief moments when Solaris looked around where her eyes lacked the fearful expression she wished to faign, however, although this would be difficult to see.

Kenna sprinted towards the minigun-wielding man, getting him within her arm's reach and slashing at his arms, trying to make him drop his weapon.
That didn't alleviate Ragnar's own concerns.
"I agree, something is not right." He replied grimly, keeping his weapon levelled. "If she really was a cultist for the dark gods, or some other warpfiend, then she may have just tried to honour them with a blood sacrifice. I've never seen it happen before, but I have heard stories from the older brothers of my chapter. If a daemon takes notice, it may be able to break through to this world, if the sacrifice was great enough."

He got up, putting his helmet back on and slowly walking back down the corridor.

Solaris peeked towards Carmen's corpse from behind Ragnar, faigning calming down as she slowly but surely dropped the act of being disturbed. Once the paramedics came to pick up the body, Solaris blew a heavy sigh, and stepped away from behind Ragnar, standing at his side. "I don't know anything about... demons... But but t-there was another one of her shortly before she... killed herself." Solaris commented, looking up to Ragnar. "Do y-you think... that has something to do with this?"
While the heavy spun up his gun again, Rex came along and stabbed the guy in the shoulder with his laser-katana.
