[color=00aa44] "Unit doesn't fully understand the situation either... but Unit has reached the point where it would have been beyond normal repair methods to reactivate her functions. However, Unit is still functioning, so the logical assumption is that deactivation in this place is not possible." [/color] Vera said, blinking a small bit. [color=00aa44] "Unit needs no rewards. Knowing the mission was completed is sufficient." [/color]

Carmen blinked blankly before pointing in the direction of the lounge. [color=bb0066] [small] "If you go down the hallway and turn right, you should see a large lounge with an open door to your left side. People who are stuck here like you generally congregate there. If you wish to learn more, they would be the people to ask. As you can tell, I'm not in a state to lecture." [/small] [/color] With that, she gave Seras a small curtsy before turning and continuing on her way.

"Hang on. Can I at least bring you to a room or something?" Seras asked as she follows Carmen.

"That's stupid. You shouldn't treat yourself like a piece of property." Rex said to Vera.

With Nanami cleverly bending Pix and partially freezing her over to serve as a vault, Solaris hit the ground on her side with a thud at the same time as Nanami did, grunting as she did. With the match being declared a draw, Solaris blew a mildly disappointed sigh, as she pushed away from Nanami, and rose to her feet. She was about to congratulate Nanami, but looked down upon noting the heavy vibrations a pained Pix made. Knowing there wasn't anything she could do to aleviate this, Solaris settled on staying in the arena for a moment, hoping the medics would arive to patch Pix up, and congratulated Nanami as she waited.

Sure enough, the medics arived quickly, and tended to the damage done to Pix via healing magic. The fact that Solaris' 'armour' was being tended to by medics would likely raise some questions with Nanami, but Solaris didn't wait around for these, leaving as soon as the medics are done.

Selim looked up quizically towards Vera as she tried to explain the lack of true death in the arena, his eyes widening with mild excitement near the end. [color=915f6d]"Oh... That's... That's so cool! I wish I knew how this worked!"[/color] He said with a little more enthusiasm in his voice then before, although still less then normal. A moment after he said this, Selim blew a small sigh, and walked further into the room. [color=915f6d]"Anyway... You asked who these are, Miss Robot?"[/color] He asked, motioning over to the various drawings. [color=915f6d]"They're my mom and dad! Do you like them?"[/color] He asked expectantly.

Vera nodded slowly, her eyes lighting up to show small green checkmarks before returning to a blank state. [color=00aa44] "Drawings are more well done than Unit would have predicted. Inquiring reason for subject drawing parental units repeatedly." [/color] Looking to Rex, she shrugged. [color=00aa44] "Unit is property of the manufacturer. Inquiring if subject wouldn't see an android they had created as property." [/color]

The demoness' head shook softly in response to the offer. [color=bb0066] [small] "Thank you... but I'd rather be left alone right now... It's more important for you to learn of this place than try to help me." [/small] [/color]

"Not if they were like you, since you can clearly think for yourself." Rex said.

"I really don't think you should just be wandering around here like this..."

After leaving the arena and the locker room, Solaris began walking the hallway in a random direction, moving form door to door, and trying to open each one she passed. "That... didn't go very well." She said to Pix with a hushed voice as she tried to open a door, moving on to the next once she found it was locked. "I'm sorry you were damaged so much."

[color=915f6d]"Why?"[/color] Selim asked, turning back, and looking up to Vera, his face beaming with pride over the compliment she had given. [color=915f6d]"Because I love my mom and dad, silly!"[/color]

[color=00aa44] "...Love?" [/color] Vera questioned, tilting her head in response. [color=00aa44] "An object's sentience doesn't undermine the fact that the object is still an object." [/color]

[color=80bb00] "I-i-i-i-it's f-f-ffine..." [/color] Pix managed to stutter out, still feeling the effects of the cold despite the battle being long over. The points where she had been frozen looked to be an icy blue splotch on the armor as Solaris continued onward, though she managed to keep enough control to speak in a low tone. [color=80bb00] "That fuckin' knight... I wanna eat him alive... but then he'd just do... whatever the fuck it did to me before..." [/color]

[color=bb0066] [small] "Leave me be...." [/small] [/color] Carmen said almost instantly, turning and walking off.

 

[Chungus]

"Well..." Solaris began as she moved on to another door, a small smile appearing on her face. "He won't be able to freeze you over like that when his hands are torn up... You'll get to eat him when we no longer need to keep up this charade." Finding a door that was unlocked, Solaris opened it, finding the room was still without an owner.

"Hmm. Are you in any shape to get these screws out?" She asked after stepping inside the room, motioning over to the screws of the hinges.

[color=915f6d]"Yeah, love."[/color] Selim responded with a nod, looking mildly confused. [color=915f6d]"It's when you like someone or something very, very much! I guess you've never known this, huh, Miss Robot?"[/color]

"But..." Seras said, not wanting to let this woman wander about on her own. "Can you at least tell me your name?"

"...Yes it does." Rex said flatly.

Vera curtly shook her head in response to Selim. [color=00aa44] "That was not a protocol Unit had installed." [/color] She said, blinking blankly once again. Turning to Rex, the android then tilted her head. [color=00aa44] "Why does sentience change the fact that an object that's owned is an object that's owned? From her former protocol, all humans are the objects of their parents as children." [/color]

Pix grunted a small bit before extending a bit of herself to do just what Solaris had requested. [color=80bb00] "I'll manage... I'm not dead just yet... And I'm gonna be fucking looking forward to that then!" [/color] She said, gritting her teeth in annoyance and her vibrations creating an audible noise once again.

The demoness continued moving onward as she answer. [color=bb0066] [small] "Carmen. Now please, leave me be." [/small] [/color]

"That's a seriously fucked up way of looking at things. You can't own people, and you're close enough to a person to seem like someone that shouldn't be owned by anyone."

Seras watched Carmen walk away.

"Yes... I will be looking forward to the moment when we can drop the act, too." Solaris commented as Pix worked on removing the screws, moving closer to make it easier for Pix to do so. "although for some different reasons. The main reason being that this would mean I'm close to going home.... and the sooner that happens, the better. Solaris had something of a scowl on her face as she spoke, although this became more of a neutral expression as Pix vibrated more intensely.

When all the screws were removed, Solaris caught the door, and began dragging it towards her suite.

[color=915f6d]"Was...? So that means you've had it installed recently, right?"[/color] Selim asked Vera. At Vera's mentioning of children as objects, Selim pouted. [color=915f6d]"H-hey! I'm not an object!"[/color] He said somewhat indignantly.

[color=00aa44] "An object's form doesn't excuse the fact than an object is an object." [/color] Vera said blankly again. [color=00aa44] "Unit is simply metal and electrical impulses, just as you are just blood flowing through a large pile of flesh and bone. " [/color] Looking to Selim, Vera giggled a small bit. [color=00aa44] "Unit apologizes for the misidentification." [/color] She then went back to a more neutral expression. [color=00aa44] "Unit has never had that protocol installed... knowledge of it isn't enough for unit to respond to it correctly, were the situation to arise." [/color]

Solaris would find that the door would be a bit easier to move around as Pix attached herself to where the door touched the armor naturally and helped. [color=80bb00] "Right... I'm kind of reaching the end of my patience though...." [/color]

"The end of your patience?" Solaris questioned as she dragged the door, blowing a soft sigh of relief upon finding Pix helped in carrying. "How long have we been here? Twelve hours? Fourteen, maybe? Whatever it is, I''m afraid we've only just gt started, and have a long way to go." Once she reached her suite, Solaris propped up the door against the wall. "I understand yor frustrations, though. It's bad enough to keep things bottled up, but you're having to act like you're an object on top of all that... So. I guess we need to find some way for you to blow off some steam..." With that said, Solaris wrapped her arms around her waist, and looked down to the floor as she thought.

Selim continued looking up to Vera with a pout, before blowing a sigh and shaking his head. [color=915f6d]"That's alright, Miss Robot... Anyway, I'm sure you'll learn what love is sooner or later, I guess..."[/color] He remarked, looking a bit emberassed near the end of the sentance. [color=915f6d]"You just got to... I dunno. This is girl stuff. Can we talk about something else?"[/color]

"A human is just not an object. We...think and feel and stuff." Rex said, feeling quite out of his element at the moment.

[color=00aa44] "So just because an object can think makes it not an object...?" [/color] Vera asked, tilting her head again. [color=00aa44] "Unit doesn't see the logic in your position." [/color]

The android slowly tilted her head more as she listened to the small child. [color=00aa44] "...Girl things? Why would objects that are not already female be be assigned a gender...?" [/color]

[color=80bb00] "I have told you I'm really impatient, haven't I?" [/color] Pix said with a sigh, the hours having felt like days to her. [color=80bb00] "As for blowing off steam... Fighting someone without having to hide would be great... but that's more than impossible. ...I'm not sure what else would let me relax more..." [/color] She still shook a bit as the cold still hadn't subsided just yet.

"Well I don't see your logic either." Rex said as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"No. But I've noticed." Solaris said with a small chuckle. Looking back up, Solaris hummed slightly. "Well... Normally, I would suggest taking a short walk in the fresh air to calm the nerves, but this is out of the question. So then, fighting is the only option. Doing so without being seen isn't impossible, however... We'll simply have to destroy those devices that lets us see what goes on in the arena."
