Annika would have no trouble grabbing on to the edges of the should, but as she did, Idun would jerk it up, lifting Annika up off her feet if she didn't let go. If this was case, Idun would make a quick swing at Annika's right outer thigh with her axe's finely honed sharp edge.
If Annika did let go, Idun would kick towards Annika's right shin with enough force to fracture the bone in a normal human.

"Nice to meet you Beth." EMily curtseyed. "My name is EMily, and these are my sisters Sara, Winona, and Gwen."

<color=brown>"I'm not sure why it has to be to the death. If we were to join, could we just have our own sparring matches?"

Annika was lifted up slightly, but quickly released the shield and dropped down. Idun's kick caused Annika to drop to her right knee, and cry out in pain. Rather than try to attack, Annika watched Idun carefully, anticipating the next blow. Her eyes began glowing softly, and, if Idun had a spirit bound to her equipment, Annika would see it. If Idun did not, however, Annika's expression would become puzzled.

After landing, the bear had stood up and turned towards Idun. The spell limiting his movements caused problems, and he decided to attack Idun from behind with streams of fire, aimed upwards at her lower back.

<color=purple>"I think I know where we are, EMily. It's that arena place we were at before but it's changed somehow."

<color=brown>"If it's sparring, I could probably do something to pass the time. Is there a custodian to help display the rules?"

<color=brown>"Hmmm..." Sara gazed at the screen again.

<color=green>"Sooooo.... where are you from, Beth?" Winona coyly asked.

Looking Idun over, Annika would find no spirit with her, although if she had the means to detect other supernatural things, she'd find both Idun's equipment and Idun herself fell in that category.

With the shield limiting her field of vision when charging at Annika, and the bear landing rather silently when it hit the ground, Idun wasn't aware the bear was behind her, and so it wouldn't have a very hard time hitting her. She shrieked as the flames licked her lower back, the fire beginning to melt the synthetic material the runner's top was made of, the hot slack sticking to Idun's skin.

Gritting her teeth, Idun jumped to the side, putting a fair amount of force in the jump, landing roughly half a metre away from Annika, and closer to the bear. From there, she wheeled around to an angle where she could keep an eye on both Annika and the bear, raising the shield towards the bear to protect her torso.

With the minimal size of the fire spirit, Idun didn't bother trying to hit it, instead, she opted for a different tactic. Moving her right hand so the wrist was pressed against the side of the shield, another magic circle appeared in front of the hand, the old Nordic text in this one reading "Banish. Cast out. Spectre."

Unlike the previous two spells, this one didn't form a second circle around the fire spirit. Instead, a white beam fired out at it from the centre of the circle. If the beam hit the fire spirit, depending on how strongly its ties to the mortal world was, it would either be cast out, or have said bonds weaken.
While not moving at light-speed as one might expect, the beam did travel roughly twice as fast as most 9mm bullets.

The spirit didn't make any attempt to dodge the beam, knowing simple magic would have almost no chance of fully breaking the contract between himself and Annika. As the power binding the fire spirit to the bear came from Annika's spirit, the bonds were barely weakened.

The bear continued to shoot fire at Idun, as both he and Annika could handle the light that Idun's shield created. Annika took advantage of Idun being distracted by protecting herself from the fire, and casting the spell, to charge. Annika's right shin glowed with the power of the ring spirit, keeping her on her feet. She would end her charge by diving on Idun, in an attempt to tackle her to the ground.

"Ah, Korea. So you're from Earth as well." EMily lit up a bit. "Although you're probably not from the same Earth as we are. We're scientists from the year 3023 A.D."

<color=green>"It's a little hard to take in, I know. Our attire usually doesn't give that idea. But you said you were... constructed. What were you made for?"

A man had appeared in the locker room. His hair was greying, and his face showed signs of obvious aging although his eyes which were a pale blue stayed quite vibrant in his old age. The man was wearing an open lab coat, which revealed that under it he was wearing a fine blue silk shirt, some black workman's cotton pants, and a pair of loafers. He walked with his hands in his pockets in a rather standoffish manner.

"So you are a prototype, is that it?"

<color=brown>"If you don't mind me asking, do you mind fighting in this arena? Have you done any fighting here?"

While she didn't know just by how little the bonds keeping the fire spirit to the mortal world had been weakened, the fact that the it didn't react at all gave her an idea of how unsuccessful it was. Meanwhile, the magic circle around the fire spirit began to dim, a sign its effects were about to fade.

While she was in a position where she could see Annika coming, that Annika charged at her while Idun was attacking the bear meant she couldn't evade in time, without also opening herself up to the bear. Being tackled, Idun landed on her back with a thud, paining her as the burned skin was scratched by her sliding over the ground. Steeling herself against the pain, Idun thrust her helmeted head at Annika's forehead. Now being double teamed, trying to prevent Annika from dying became less of a priority for Idun, and so, put enough force in the blow that it would break the plate the skull of a normal person, and likely to give them a brain hemorage.

"Oh, I gotcha. I suppose sparring would be more fair than an actual death match for you."

<color=brown>"We've been close to death, but it's nothing I would want to face again." Sara commented.

<color=green>"Hello there. Another new face." Winona waved at the elderly man.

The man shrugged at the comment on his coat, and went over to a locker looking through it's contents, before stuffing in some weapons into his coat.
"I guess. It was just standard wear at my job."
