When Beth entered, the arena began changing to the same plateau that Annika and Idun had fought on. In response to the change, and Beth's appearance, the new combatant's wings spread out widely.

Fighters have entered the arena! Beth will be fighting Bran Vodall!

After being informed he was taking part in a fight, Bran charged at Beth, then leapt into the air. His wings flapped, lifting him up. With a mechanical click, the blades dropped on Bran's boots, hanging under the soles of his feet.

Bran circled overhead, and began tapping the screen of his bracer. Runes began hovering over the fingertips of his left hand, glowing blue. As he flew over Beth, Bran extended his left arm and launched icicles from the runes down at Beth. The spell would be fairly inaccurate, mostly relying on the fact that it shot multiple projectiles to actually hit.

Beth created a wide and thin sheet of plasma above herself as a shield, relying on it burning anything that got too close.

Bran scowled as his icicles were melted before they could hit. However, he took this into account and began fiddling with his bracer, moving his ice and water spells to his inactive list. After that, he tapped another symbol. A white aura surrounded his wings, and his next wing-flap sent out a powerful gust of wind at Beth.

Beth's weight prevented her from getting blown around too much, but she still struggled to move forward, letting the plasma wall dissipate and firing a thin beam at Bran's chest.

Bran banked to the right, narrowly avoiding the attack. His previous spell had had the side-effect of sending him higher into the sky, giving him a little more reaction time. Cursing in an unfamiliar language, Bran relegated his wind spells to the support section, and activated a shield spell. A red-tinted aura surrounded his entire body, which would block heat-based damage for three turns.

The beam missed. Beth, unaware of his shield, fired a bunch of weaker beams, thinking she had a better chance to hit with spam fire.

Bran's shield glowed brightly when it was hit, though he was unharmed. He continued circling over Beth, considering what to try against her next.

Bran continued circling over Beth, thinking about what to try next. He selected a lightning spell, causing the air around his body to crackle and spark. Bran brought his arms and wings in tight against his body, and turn to face Beth. As he dove, the trail of sparks followed the metal blades on his boots. At the last possible second, he pulled up, flying close enough to Beth that she could touch him, if she were fast enough.
The trail would follow Bran, until he pulled out of the dive. At that point, the sparks would fly off his boots and land on or around Beth. Once they touched her, or the ground, a bolt of lightning would come down from the sky. Since Beth was likely made of conductive materials, the bolt would be almost guaranteed to hit.

Beth, unsure of what exactly was going on but realising that staying in his way was a bad idea, tried to calculate when it would be too late for Bran to make another pass and dodge then. If she succeeded, she would retaliate with a plasma ball. If she failed, she would be struck by a bolt and fall to her knees, smoking and sparking.

Since Beth was, essentially, a lightning rod, it would be impossible for her to dodge at the last second. Therefore, Bran's lightning bolt would hit her. He rose up into the air and turned to observe the effects of his spell. His shield spell faded away, and he took advantage of Beth being down to recast it.

Beth tried to reboot, a bit frazzled after the lightning bolt. She was built for power surges, but not a direct hit from a lightning bolt. She stood slowly, sporting a rather large burn where the bolt had hit.

Bran suddenly swooped again, however his angle was steeper this time. Rather than diving to attack directly, he came in to land. In a fluid movement, he pulled his body up like a parachutist, braking with his wings, while at the same time drawing his knives and retracting his boot blades. Using the momentum from his landing, Bran charged at Beth and attempted to thrust both his daggers into her chest. His wings pulled back, perpendicular to his body, trailing behind him as he ran.

The daggers pierced Beth, dangeriusly close to her internal generator. She cried out and tried to push the bird man off.

Bran was sent flying back, his body much lighter than a human of his size and build would have been. He used his wings to brake again, but continued backpedaling on his feet. He noted the lack of blood, and at that point he realised Beth was mechanical. Bran sheathed one of his daggers, and began casting another lightning spell.
Since he was on the ground, the spellcasting process would take a little longer. He extended his dagger up towards the sky, the charge building up in the air causing his hair to stand on end. During this time, Bran would be vulnerable to a physical blow, if Beth could reach him in time.

Beth ran forward as fast as she could, over clocking her systems and preparing for a shoulder tackle that could probably break down a wall. She wasn't as fast as she could be due to her damaged wires.

Bran was taken by surprise by Beth's charge, but attempted to bring his dagger down on Beth. If the blade made contact with Beth, another lightning bolt would come down and strike her. If not, the bolt would hit the dagger and shock Bran instead.
Regardless of whether he hit or not, Beth's tackle would crush the bones in Bran's chest, the impact alone killing him.
