Beth was stabbed by the blade, falling on top of Bran as she crushed him and the bolt struck her. She laid still.

If Beth was still operational, she would be declared the winner. If not, the fight would be declared a draw. Either way, the arena returned to its default state. Bran reappeared in a respawn chamber, and staggered out, confused.
Beth had died, or the closest she could come anyway, and also staggered out of a respawn tube, falling to the floor like a sack of bricks and getting up slowly and drunkenly as she activated.
Gash, a tall woman wearing a huge suit of armor and carrying a ridiculously large dull stone sword, entered the empty arena. She leaned her sword against a nearby wall and cracked her knuckles. "This should be fun." She said to herself, waiting to see her opponent.
Across from Gash, a pale and slender woman entered the arena, garbed in a midlength coat and buccaneer trousers and boots. She looked up as she entered, the arena changing around them. Where there was once a blank space, they now seemed to be in the great hall of some rich man's manor. The ceiling stretched high above, chandeliers dangling from it to light the space. Tables and chairs were strewn about as if to prepare for a feast, making for makeshift obstacles and cover. At the centre of the long rectangular hall was a large strong oval table, big and heavy enough to support both combatants if the duel moved there. The pale woman drew a gleaming blade, made a small curtsey motion, then pointed the blade at Grey before looking her in the eye.
"Round Start: Gash versus Candace Ayers! Ready... FIGHT!"

Gash picked up her weapon, and smiled at Candace's curtsey. "Hope there's no hard feelings, princess!" With that, she charged across the room straight towards Candace, smashing right through the table in the center if it was in her way.
Luckily for diners and carpenters everywhere, the central table was not in the way, though a few minor tables and chairs where reduced to splinters by the rush. Candace raised her pistol, aimed for Gashes torso, and fired, aware that it wouldn't hurt much but considering the head too hard a target.
All the shot did was stagger Gash just a bit from the impact, but she quickly corrected herself and continued her rush. She didn't even bother swinging her weapon once she reached Candace, instead attempting to just charge right through her as she did to the chairs.
Candace waited until the last moment, then sidestepped like a matador, making she she was on the side of Gashes off hand. As she stepped she sliced with her blade, looking to inflict a thin but painful cut.
Candace's slash gave Gash a gash along her cheek. It wasn't a deep enough cut to injure her or cause bleeding out, but it did successfully anger her. "You *****!" Gash came to a stop quickly and spun around to face Candace, swinging her sword horizontally in the same motion, aimed at Candace's chest level.
Candace dropped to the floor as Gash swung her great dull blade, smirking as the weapon passed over her. From her belly-down position, she used her hands to push herself up off the floor, then hopped back to try and gain some distance.
"Damnit, stand still and let me hit you!" Gash screamed in anger as she jumped towards Candace with a downward swing of her sword.
Candace hopped again, but a bad landing and the impact of the giant blade made her lose her fitting and fall on her backside, leaving her open.
Gash saw the opening, but was unable to pull her sword out of the floor in time to finish Candace off. Instead, she dropped her sword and kicked at Candace's head.
Candace's head was rocked back by the kick, hitting the floor. She tried to recover and stand as Gash retrieved her sword.
Gash grabbed her easily, but Candace had enough wits about her to bring the sword up, knowing she couldn't get a good stabbfrom this angle so instead opting to hid her in the head with the hilt of the blade.
Gash let go and staggered backwards a few steps. Knowing that Candace probably wouldn't give her time ro rearm, she raised her fists and assumed a boxing stance.
Candace, after a second to recover, noticed Gash was a lot closer. She brought up her gun, and unless Gash could wrestle it away, would quickly shoot her in the head.
Gash brought her gauntlet in front of her head in time to block the bullet. Unfortunately, the impact of the bullet caused Gash to punch herself in the face, leaving her with a bloody nose and a concussion. She immediately fell onto her back. While not completely unconscious, she was dazed and struggling to regain her balance, leaving herself wide open.
