I used to collect the 'Nids when I was younger, freaking loved it. Then I got older and forgot about it until I discovered Steam and with it, DoW 1 and DoW2. Now i'm addicted to the universe again but I need more money to restart collecting, besides, I love the CSM now haha.

Nowadays?
The Video-Games. Can't stand the tabletop game anymore, it's lost it's charm and the prices for the unassembled plastic models are absolutely absurd.
The Video-Games are great, made with care by the creators to authentically portray the setting. They're simply far more enjoyable than the old hobby used to be.
For me at least.

Necrons, Tyranids and Space Marines on the tabletop. Everything in Dawn of War / DoW 2.

Having just had a fantastic "Bolters and Beer" weekend with friends, I can say that the tabletop is the better of the two, if you're into the hobby. Plus, being in the UK it's only 40 minutes or so drive to Warhammer World to use the tables there (plus Bugman's Bar!).

It's a social hobby as a tabletop game, with all the modelling/converting/painting stuff thrown in for when you can't get together to play. As a video game it's just a video game.

Always like 40k. Never could afford it.

When I was living off my parents wallets it was too expensive for "toys" and birthday money went elsewhere. When I was working for pay, I became stingy and thought not to waste money on something I have to assemble myself.

My current interests in 40k are the Books, Dawn of War 2 and a recent series of attempts at doing fan art. All of which, are cheaper then a single starters kit from my local GW/Arts n' Hobbies.

I ventured into my local GW to watch a few games before... but frankly I don't like the sorts that compete over here so that's an incentive not to pay to play.

EDIT: Most of my friends either haven't heard of Warhammer, or think I'm talking about Warcraft... so yeah my social circle is limited. Another reason not to pay for TT.

Not the time, not worth the money and I don't want to paint figurines.
I'll stick with the computer games.
