I just found some wasabi in the fridge, I tasted it and liked it. What does wasabi go well with?(Don't say sushi)
Not to be a sushi snob, but the stuff you can get in America is actually just horseradish with a bit of coloring. It's very difficult to get "real" wasabi in America, and it's exceptionally expensivePrivate Custard said:Well seeing as it's basically like horseradish with balls, I'd be really tempted to try it with either a full roast beef dinner, or a cold sliced roast beef sandwich with coarse ground pepper and some green leaf lettuce (not that iceberg crap!)
Not if you live in hoity-toit land where they import it for their sushi restaurants (like my city). I've actually learned to taste the difference though.Seldon2639 said:Not to be a sushi snob, but the stuff you can get in America is actually just horseradish with a bit of coloring. Speaking as someone completely land-locked, I'm unlikely to experience real wasabi at any point in the near futureNemorov said:Not if you live in hoity-toit land where they import it for their sushi restaurants (like my city). Lies. I've done it, and it didn't bother me a whole lot. Then I again I play A LOT of truth or dare and have snorted just about every condiment in the average refrigerator.Motti said:Just some advice: DO NOT SNORT WASABI.
Your nostrils will burn for hours.
