I hate them with a vengance. I spose thats cus they hate me. I have never kicked a wasp nest or agetated them on purpose once and yet ive recieved over 20 stings in my 15 years of life, 9 at once and 1 hornet sting. Trod on a hornet when i was 9, one of the most horrible experiences ive ever felt. Crap that got me by surprise. Stung me 3 times on my foot before i felt a stinging sensation and looked down. Living in britain means hornets (or it might have been a very VERY large wasp about 4-5cm long) are rare. It seems like they target me for some reason. I personally hope they all die.

Bees im fine with. I pick up honey and bumble bees a lot to free them from my house and ive never been stung. I admit the hornet was defending itself but it was rather traumatic, i cant help but hate them now.

People say wasps only sting in self defence, this is the case but their definition of "agressor" is pretty broud. If moving near them is aggressive then that explains a lot.

I have a waspnest (empty now) bottled in my room, it is rather cool even if i cant bring myself to touch it. Intrinsic fear of anything wasp related wont let me.

I HATE wasps. That probably has something to do with the fact that some of them managed to get into my sheets when I was a kid and sting me when I would go to bed. As it is, however, I'll usually just avoid them if I'm outside, but if they venture into the house, they have a death warrant.

However, they are far from useless. They do a wide variety of pest control jobs. Ticks, flies, and other pests are typically used by wasps as food material for their larvae, so without them, we'd be up to our armpits in other bugs and wondering why there wasn't some other insect that controlled them. So as much as I hate them, I do acknowledge that they have some value. As long as they stay outside of my house, we won't have any problems.

At least you're body will be immune to their poison. Hell.. I don't even know if I'm allergic to bees yet.

I think I'm coming to the conclusion that like midges, wasps seem to go after some people more than others.

Lots of things eat wasps, birds included. Frogs also eat wasps, their stingers dont work as well when plunged into digestive juices or are crushed. I also have a hate of anything with stings.

Wasps are very important as much so as bees are(for pollination etc) though as We have beehives that constantly kill our bees and steal their honey we do kill any we see trying to gte into our bee hives. But in the house or generally outside we wont hunt them and squash them, just open a window or two and close the jam/honey jar that attracted them inside in the first place.

I don't mind wasps. Even though I spend my summers at a camp with hundreds of them, they never bite me. In fact, you could say, they don't bug me at all.(ba-dum-tish)

being that this big fat american slob is allergic to most histamines i cannot say i like them. i do respect them. but i live on the west coast of california and we have lots of yellow jackets. they like to build nests in the eves of our house. so we just be sure that theirs plenty of traps around the property. if we do find a nest (we check every month for them, bees, hornets, spider nests, ect ect) we have no choice but to use commercial killer on them. its way to expensive to call out the pest guys!

nooooo. im actually not sure what to call them. black widows make these little nests about the size of a golf ball. their just white balls with eggs in them. their not like spider webs though. its a solid mass that they stick in a corner. you either have to use raid. or PLAN B KILL IT WITH FIRE

I know bumble bees are nice, so I just let them fly on by. As for wasps? I freeze up, watch him get way to close to my arm, and fly away. I personally don't like them, but they sure are badass, and badasses deserve to live. Oh, and I've never been stung, so no grudge there.

I, for some reason beyond my knowing, have a deep seated hatred for wasps. I kill them if I find them, but I don't walk down the street dressed in a hazmat suit with a tank of bee poison on my back.

The only thing i don't like about them is how close they get to you when you eat outside or something, but other than that i stepped on a bunch of them the other day on accident and didn't get mad
