I get WoW scams all the time that say my account has been involved in spamming, gold selling, and other illegal activities. I find this very odd since I deactivated it over 6 months ago and when I log into it at the real WoW site it is still deactivated.
These spam mails are easy to spot. Most of them are full of bad spelling. You do have to be careful though because some of them will say "click this link" and it does say @blizzard or @battle.net, but if you mouse over it to see where the link is directing you, it isn't blizzard or it will be something like blizard or bl1zzard.
Seeing as how I don't play WoW anymore, I could care less, but for those of you that do, NEVER click any link in an email for WoW. Just manually type in the real site and log in from there to see if whatever the mail is saying is true or not.
Is there anywhere where you can forward these things to Blizzard? I'm not sure what, if anything, they can do about it, but it might be useful information to them.
Oh, also, if it is asking for your account info, you know it is fake, because Blizzard manages the game....don't you think they know all that already?
