There's a reason this is funny. It's because of how true it is.

When I can name 20+ anime series off the top of my head which don't really involve any of the cliches being mocked here, I think we can safely say it's not quite as true as you think it is.

Of coarse there are exceptions. I personally really enjoyed Spirited Away. But there are exceptions to everything. Good anime is in an extreme minority in my view, and I really don't want to shift though shit like this to get to it.

Good anything is a minority. Good books, good films, good tv, good games, good music and yes even good anime are the minority and no matter what you enjoy you will have to shift though crap or find an other way to ignore it. I watched it in elementary school when it was on public television at 6:30 or so, and they never got past the third season. I don't remember it being that bad of a translation, though.

Lol. Yes, it's quite an interesting parody.

Of course, to claim all anime is like this, is equivalent to claiming all hollywood films are one long, over the top action sequence.
It's no more true for either, and with Anime, it's heavily biased by what actually gets released in the west as well.

On the other hand... There's the likes of Battle Vixens, and similar series, which come pretty close to this parody...
