You can't fly a tank, foo!

Seriously though, utter awesome, but it's easier than it looks. The other jet was on his tail so his flight path was obvious and entering a jet in midair is quite easy in Battlefield, there's a relatively wide zone around the jet where the enter button works. Still, can't say I've pulled it off yet, so kudos to the pilot :)

Yup battlefield has always been great for trick kills. Myself I used to kill low flying planes in 1942 by throwing grenades up at the right time and angle for it to get stuck between the wing and the planes body.

Oh and taking out planes by piling dynamite under a jeep and blowing it into the sky at the right time for the plane to crash into it never got old.
This reminds me of the games I used to play in Battlefield: Vietnam where I would regularly kill planes and choppers using a mortar.

I'm always a fan of the trick kill... and though I've never played Battlefield, it's only because I've never had a PC good enough to run the game. I love games with vehicles and physics and crazy awesome stuff.

Reminds me of that time in Halo: Reach where I propelled myself up into the air, landed on top of the enemy's Banshee, stuck a grenade to it, and jumped off just in time to land in the gunner's seat of my buddy's Warthog 100 feet below.

I need to get my hands on a PC now. I'd love to finally play me some Battlefield.

Hell, I'd love to play some Command & Conquer: Renegade again.

I remember seeing a video similar to this during the beta (which tactic I immediately put into my arsenal) of leading someone into the stall altitude, jumping out and hitting them with a stinger.

See, its things like that which almost make me want to play battlefield 3. Then I remember the online pass and their ability to completely deactivate my games if someone swears at me and I say fuck that.]

Would have been far more manly with a grenade though.

The "Loopzook" isn't unheard of, but it's still amazing.
Good to know it's possible in Battlefield 3.

Well, this isn't the first time this was seen in a battlefield game.

It's good to know someone besides me has actually played prior Battlefield games.

Hadn't seen that LoopSnipe before, but THAT is one of the greatest kills ever.
It's the sheer badassery of it, plane under fire from AA? I'll just loop around, snipe the AA, drop back into the plane and fly straight on past. There needs to be a film about a soldier whose basically immortal because he's that good. When he's on the field, armies run away

EDIT: In fact, exactly that same stunt (maybe with the plane rather than AA) needs to be in the film. It'll be the love child of Wanted, The A-Team and 300, plane under fire, guy cranes back to look at the jet rocketing behind him, shot of the engines blasting across the camera to show the speed. Man calmly puts straps on a gun and lifts the plane up, we follow him round as he leaves the plane going up and over so now the other plane is straight in his sights, shoots the pilot and the whole plane shoots under him and we follow the plane watching it spiral into the ground but now the camera is looking at the ground too and shaking so we think the guy is about to die and then the sounds cuts out and everything slows down slightly as his plane slides into the bottom of the shot from his loop the loop and still silent he falls into the plane again, just as he;s about to hit we jump outside to look at him in the plane shooting off, sounds comes back on and on the ground behind a huge explosion erupts highlighting the plane.

Back in the plane the pilot ruffles his hair slightly

Yeah I thought I had seen that thing done a few times before.

Thank you for helping me not fear that I had just uncovered the glitch in the matrix.

You're my BF3 hero, next to birgirpal:
Oh god, bigirpal, a god amongst men, I love it when he uses a fighter plane as a cruise missle and takes out a chopper...

Almost as good as hitting the plane with a tank cannon... blind.

Actually way cooler...
I did that before on Battlefield play4free. The plane swooped right over my tank attempting to divebomb me and I shot him at virtually point blank range. It was a glorious explosion of awesomeness. If only I had had some software to record it...
