They're like the worst "news" (if you can even call it that) station, why are they still around?

Well, the Frog thinks he owns it, and the Pig says he does.

WOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOH!
Has anyone said that you win the internet?

But yes, oh poor Fox. You know you've hit rock bottom when puppets can get valid shots on you and there's jack you can do about it. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Anyone else want that oil dude they interviewed to have a heated debate with the Muppets? Totally Pay-Per-View material.
I can't brain today, please xplain this joke to me

You don't have to sugar coat it, we know that the puppets are slightly more intelligent on their own.
What's that old saying? It's better to remain silent and be thought a fool than speak and remove all doubt?

Yup. Clearly the puppets are the wiser for it.

I hate how everyone bashes FOX when they're hardly unique... The news hasn't been objective since WWII. Still, FOX was more objective than most in their coverage of the 2008 US presidential election. There's a documentary about it called Media Malpractice.

I was humorously imagining you were talking about the Muppet Show instead of Fox News.

Oh, Miss Piggy, I think I love you.

Ironically, I was just watching the episode of the Simpsons where they show that Troy McLure Muppet movie...

"Wilst thou give me thine dainty hoof in marriage?"
Dad, whats a Muppet? Love that scene.

Not that I give a shit about FoxNews being attacked, it just feels a bit wrong having it be done directly by Kermit and Miss Piggy.

These characters always lived in their own little world, and seeing whoever pulled their strings use them in a slanderous attack feels a bit like the Muppets being misused. They're The Muppets; They don't need to directly voice their opinion about FoxNews, and dragging them into that feels like a detriment to what they stand for.

I know FoxNews attacked them first, but they should've just ignored it or had the creators of the movie voice their opinion themselves, not by using the actual characters.
OK, my initial response to this was too harsh. I'm sorry.

However, I do disagree with you. It's not slanderous. In fact, Miss Piggy's comment isn't nearly as hostile to Fox News as Fox News was to the Muppets.

Oh, and it's not like Kermit and Miss Piggy went out of their way to attack Fox about this. The film's director already responded to the allegations, but these responses were due to members of the press asking Kermit and Miss Piggy about the situation.

Wow, you really went and said that, didn't you? I need to go bang my head against the wall now.
And why is that?

...Oh wait, I get it; You were doing a thing.

You beat me to the Waldorf and Statler image. Now how can I make my joke with them on Fox?

Unfortunately, Fox News does have a significant market share. And their viewers don't seem to have a very long attention span. If someone in their strategy room has half a brain, they'll let this pass; it would be throwing grease on a fire to get in a shoving match with puppets, and all the more ridiculous if they should do so and lose.

Still, love the clip. A friend shared it on Facebook yesterday.

And for the lonely few who persist in believing that Fox News is just like every other news organization now, or even possibly better than some, I'll take this moment to remind everyone that Fox is literally responsible for the legal precedent that the "news media" can out-and-out lie to their viewers:

and note that you are objectively wrong.

The thing is that I see The Muppets in the same light as The Smurfs, or The Moomins. They're not South Park or Family Guy. They have a sort of timeless innocence about them, because they inhabit their own little world where everything is filtered through their perception.

I don't want to see Kermit or Miss Piggy talk about FoxNews just as I don't want The Smurfs to talk about WBC.

Ofcourse this was the press hitting them with it, and as a puppeteer you then have to make up something on the fly. It just feels kinda out of character for these characters to make snarky remarks at a corporation that everyone should simply ignore anyway; The Muppets are bigger than that.

I understand that right wingers want their own version of the Daily Show, I don't understand why it needs to be 24hrs.
Oh it's not 24-hours. They occasionally cut to weather updates.

It's ok. They always have at least 20 minutes of news every day, between 10am and 4pm.

DOOOHOHOHOHOHOH!!!
Honestly, im from the UK so im not constantly bombarded with their shenanigans so I actually enjoy listening the the crap that Fox news seem to spew and watch as the rest of the world rips erm to pieces. Its like watching a dick head get beaten up and constantly getting back up, if anything I admire their determination at being twats.

The only two people I would EVER want to attack Fox news.

Man, these muppets were my childhood.
