Erica dropped to her knees as Relius began plowing through her memories. Although it wasn't nearly as bad as the things she had seen when she was part of Regulus and thus tainted by Chaos, it was far from pleasant.

Sephiroth sighed. There was so much going on.
It was immensely difficult, he supposed, for his Controller to make any sort of contribution to the plot with all of these other Controllers also vying to become the major contributor. Sephiroth was not used to being a side character. Nor, he suspected, was his Controller. In fact, he judged that his entire reason to be was some desperate attempt to avoid being exactly that.
Nobody ever thought they would end up as a supporting character, and yet here he was in a world full of people all with one motivation:
AFFECT THE PLOT.
Some, evidently, were better at that than others.
In fact, if Sephiroth's Controller decided just to stop now, there was no way of knowing what would happen to him. He would cease not only to have meaning, but to exist. He would be in some limbo, frozen in one spot and yet somehow not existing in any spot at all. Unable to affect or be affected, without the being that gave him purpose.. he was nothing.
That hurt.

Relius found Erica's memories of being part of Regulus. He began dragging them to the surface, slowly and painfully. "You were part of such a beast? You must have felt horrible, seeing all this destruction, unable to do a thing."

OoC: @Zeph Relius is screwing with Erica's head, everyone's on top of the Big Orphan, and there's a gateway to a realm of magic right in front of the ship.
Sephiroth looked at Uzzi. 'I suppose you are attempting to maintain some level of influence too, aren't you?' he said.
Clearly, Uzzi's Controller was like his own: desperate to make a difference. To affect the plot, to fulfil his reason for being there. After all, there was no other reason for the Controllers to interfere: they could have no other motivation other than to make events go as they desired.

'You feel a desire to affect these events, do you not?' Sephiroth said.
He wondered what his aim was. Was his Controller trying to anger the others by making their subjects aware of them?
'As if the only reason you exist is to move some plot forwards...' He said this last more quietly, careful not to be too explicit.

Erica's eyes filled with tears as she was forced to relive the memories of all the pain she had to witness during her time with Regulus. Some of the most vivid memories showed all the times Regulus tormented AEanna.
One of Erica's best friends. She had made the mistake of trusting her, and payed dearly for it. For had she not gotten close to Erica, Regulus would not have been able to break as easily as it did.
Despite having not yet tapped into the emotions of her new soul Erica was overcome and even crushed by a sence of guilt. Because of her, her friend suffered greatly, and in the end, even got killed.
Within Erica's mind, something began to stir. A purple creature stood directly opposed to Erica however, it was to vegue to make out just what it was.

Relius detected something else in Erica's mind. Two somethings in fact: Tophat, trying to haze Erica's memories. He ignored the first precense and avoided Tophat, searching through more of her memories. He found thoughts of friends past: A vampiric elf(AEanna), a soldier in powered armour(Tanner), a brotherly figure in a blue shirt(Laguna). Relius smirked and began to rip them out. "Why hold on to others? It'll only bring pain when they leave, and social connections are worthless anyway."
"Oookay, you know what crazy guy? You're not allowed to talk to me anymore either." Uzzi said to Sephiroth. "Man, now I need to write up a list or something..." he added to himself.
