In a game full of memorable deaths, this is one of the ones people most remember. Though, I think the death of Odessa is pretty damn dark as she asks Tir (official name of the hero) to throw her body in the water behind them to hide her death.
Anyway, in this scene, Gremio sacrifices himself to save his master, Tir. It's just a hell of a scene.

Here's the death of Nanami. This one kind of sucks because the guy uploading it didn't try to save her, not that you would even see anything till the end of the game, but at least in that case, Riou pulls out his tonfa alongside Nanami. (There was one that did, but the music was all screwy in the fight and they were using the most obnoxious sound effects)

Anyway, it's full of big moments. Riou and Jowy preparing to fight. Gorudo being an ass, which seems to come naturally to him. Nanami being brave to protect her brother and friend, despite her reservations about fighting in war. And her subsequent death... Powerful stuff.
