ooc: I just realized, I never gave Vertigo and Malco an epilogue. Well, I shall remedy this post haste!
After having fallen asleep on the underside of the tree branch, the branch broke and Vertigo started floating off into outer-space. Luckily, his ship, the U.S.S. Souleye, was in the exact spot to catch him from floating forever through space. He woke up upon making contact and boarded, relating his adventure to the rest of the crew. Having been snubbed out of a guitar lesson from Axel, due to his untimely death, the crew immediately set out to find 'Heaven' where Axel had ended up. After many years, the crew finally found the right dimensional warp rift to warp to 'Heaven'. The crew immediately dispersed to learn about this strange paradise and Vertigo went to find Axel. Upon finding him at the end of one of his concerts, he approached him about the guitar lessons he was promised. Axel gave him the guitar lessons (Although, he made him pay for them again. Demons never change.), and Vertigo liked playing his instrument so much, he decided that he would stay in 'Heaven' and form a band with Axel. The rest of the crew bade him a teary farewell and set off for new worlds. Vertigo is still in the band with Axel, but now writes to his former crewmates frequently, and sends the messages through his trans-dimensional uplink. He also uses this device to allow those who are deceased to send messages to their beloved ones from beyond the grave.

Malco was last seen on Samus' ship, and still hasn't reawoken from his sleep mode. All efforts to reactivate him have ended with the error message: EMULATOR RUNNING; FINAL BOSS NOT YET DEFEATED. ACTIVATION DELAYED UNTIL COMPLETION. Malco is still trapped in an endless run of "Cave Tale"'s Hell level.
