Rex looked into space as he finally continued.
ooC: @Nail: Sorry, I didn't actually write up a backstory for Rex. This was an on the fly sort of thing...
[color=008888] "She was... interesting to say the least... Had long red hair, sparkly blue eyes, and a drop-dead gorgeous smile. The odd thing is the first time we met was when I pickpocketed her. I just zipped by her and nabbed her purse. At first, I thought nothing was wrong, but then I looked back and she was closing in on me... while she was on foot. I'd never seen anyone move that fast, and I was one of the best boarders in the gang. I was so shocked I ended up crashing into a wall." [/color]

When I finally recovered from the crash, she was standing there, smiling, right next to my hospital bed. She didn't mention anything to the cops and she paid the medical bill for me. The first thing I asked was why she decided to do this for a low-life like me. She simply said, [color=9900FF] "You seemed different from the other thieves around this city. I've seen how skilled you are...and I'd hate to see that talent rot in a jail. But of course, you're going to need to pay me back for the initial investment of this hospital bill I've paid for you..." [/color]
I was forced to quit my life as a thief, but I didn't mind at all. She took care of me, better than my parents could ever have dreamed they could have. She also opened my eyes to alchemy and all these wonderful things I never knew existed. As I learned, I started doing jobs for people, building machines and making a name for myself.... For the first time in my life, I felt fulfilled... like a void in my chest I never knew I had was finally filled. [/color]

"I've... Got alot of things on my mind, I don't have the luxury of being 'easy'. Never did. It was fighting for the scraps, fighting to live and fighting to gain some respect wherever we go. But... I guess that's all gone now." Bullet said, the last part being rather solemn compared to her usual 'boyish' attitude.
"See that you do." Rozalin curtly replied. "I must admit that I have grown rather curious about that fact. Vampires receive their power from feeding on humans, correct? Why would a demon ever willingly give up power? The more I think about it, the less it seems to make any sense." She added as her gaze swept from one building to another, looking for indications that one might be a book-shop or a library.
Bryce looked at both pf them, searching their faces. "wanna know why i reacted like that York? Spewing yellow mucus out of every pore of my body? This is why." he pulled back his duster to reveal a pale chest covered in black writing, warning that he was a carrier and any bodily fluids he excreted could turn the touched into his minions. He gave them both time to read it.
@Saltyk. He's walking back to the castle with Bullet.
"But it's not healthy to keep up those emotions built up like that. I understand that you're a warrior, but your tone of voice tells me that you're holding back a lot of troubles that you were never allowed to talk about. You've still got the chance to make yourself heard here among the other people here with you. You've certainly got my attention, and that was just from talking to you."
They finally arrived back at the castle.
"Here we are. You should go take a rest in the library. There's lots of good story books in there. It might be a good break for you."

Fenrich frowned "Lord Valvatorez isn't like most demons. He is incredibly proud and noble, he will never go back on a promise. The one he made all those years ago was made without thinking of the consequences, but it is not my place to talk about it. This brings me to my point though, if we could find a way to sneak human blood into his system he would regain his powers. If that were to happen he could subjugate this world, or any other world, easily. If you were to help me get him his powers back I'm sure he would bestow a position of vast importance to you, he has done this before. He may even make you a Queen." replied Fenrich
After Rex had finished telling his story, he placed his now half empty glass on the table and tapped it with his index and middle finger three times before chuckling. "My, that's quite the story. I do believe I would like this Clarice. And don't appolagise. I enjoyed hearing this.
As for that last statement, I can't say I don't understand. Braving the uncertain future can be as unsettling as facing the past."

"Y-yeah. Kinda..." Bullet scratched the back of her head, slightly nervously. Why do I feel a strange tightening in my chest..? Ahh, fuck it. she thought dismissively.
Seeing that Edgar and herself were back into the castle, she smiled alittle and turned to Edgar. "Thank you. Thank you so much for... Well, allowing us to stay here. And... I think I will go check out the library. See ya Edgar."

Then, without warning, a floater bursts from the shade of the castle. unable to find a target... it immediately applies itself to Bullets face
OOC: On a more serious note I would like to join this rp forum and read to page 14 before deciding to jump to the end. Ill change my character(and avatar if necessary or requested) and are familiars with the rules. I would simply request i get filled in on the story(still in the sandy areas with the strange tree)

"It's... Complicated. This armcomp manages my nanos, which keeps my carrier virus in remission. Without them, i'd be able to infect you with the disease. Earlier, i took a mortal wound and so my nanos stopped me from dying from it, and the virus had time to grow. The nanos then had to remove it from me by using my pores. After that, besides feeling like crap from my pores opening up, i was fine."

Rozalin adopted a look of deep contemplation as she mulled over Fenrich's offer. "I am already a Princess with the royal blood of Overlord Zenon in my veins, so this offer of a position holds little meaning for me. I will however choose to help you anyway. I cannot possibly see any negatives to having a powerful demon indebted to me. Perhaps it will make getting off this world and back to my home much easier."
