OOC: Tired of character development? As in, they... I don't really understand that. What are we supposed to be doing then? Bring in characters as a series ofcameos? Just have them show off a bunch of their fighting moveswith zero context and then kick them out for the next one?
I had a similar reaction. I really don't understand this mindset.

@All: So I just realized that I current class cancelled for today... Oh well.

Bullet woke up and started to dress herself. Ratsel did as well.

OOC: Ah, right. Well, I thought you meant we were cutting storylines out completely in favour of constant, mindless battle with context whatsoever. If we could bring things back to the way they were in WAOA 1- where character development was just going on in the interlude between key events, then that would definitely be a step in the right direction.

Jensen sighed as he stepped out into the sunlight, flicking his shades on and glancing up and down the street. H had been hunting the stalker with the intensity that remained from his days as a DCPD officer, and as such, the destruction of the town seemed like nothing but a distraction. With the trail gone cold, the gravity of the situation now took hold, and he felt ashamed that he had done nothing to help the people.

OoC: @Berk Well, @Rosh and I did some brainstorming in the chat group. Go on there and look back a page or two.

Anyway, who's on, where are we, and am I wanted?

Corvo felt low as he trudged away from the village. He had hidden while it was destroyed, waited while it was erased. This people weren't from Dunwall, death was a blessing. A far kinder fate than that of the Rat Plague, the poor souls who fell ill and became Weepers were the worst of the lot.

OOC: When you sit in front of a computer for 6-8 hours waiting for someone to come on, only for them to come on 30 mins before work I don't think anybody would be in the mood for char dev after that.

OOC: I read a little bit of the chat stuff. I don't want to do a racing plot. I never had any interest in racing games. I think it would be pretty damn hard to get me interested in a story that was centered around racing.

Royce put on some more cloths and went for a run.

OoC: @Outis Yeah, a whole plot around racing wouldn't be good, but a chase or race sequence that's part of a bigger plot would be pretty cool if we pulled it off.

@Outis: Who said that it would be completely centered around that? One part of a much larger plot. Its certainly a change in the plot story, but it doesn't mean that its bad in any sense.

Bullet exited the ship as she started stretching and then started doing a regular routine of practicing.

Ratsel exited out side as she materialized the rifle she had from last night and started inspecting it.

OOC: I wouldn't mind chase scenes though. Like on foot and stuff. Throwing yourself at enemies and expecting plot armour to pull through is silly.
@Outis I never have interest in Eastenders so I don't want pointless chatter. I think it would be pretty damn hard to get me invested in a story centered around talking and moving somewhere else to talk while being immune to all forms of danger unless they want it to happen to their characters.
Same diff right?

Not sure how we could keep that interesting. It seems that anyone who wasn't piloting a vehicle would just be standing around, or getting knocked around by turbulence. Maybe if we did a big ship with a boarding party or something.

Jensen searched around the village, but few people showed their faces. Those who did shrank away into the shadows when he looked at them. Scowling, he decided to try an open broadcast to see who was still alive and still possessed the initiative and spirit to prepare a plan of action.

"Can anyone hear me? This is Adam Jensen, requesting a local status report. Is there any infrastructure or management still operating in this settlement? Anyone at all?"

OOC: Chase scenes could be good fun.

His pursuer from earlier had survived. That demonstrated resilience. Interested, Corvo magified and view the man and aimed to follow him.

OOC: Just so I can say he's actually with the group whenever I get on next.

OoC: @Outis Well, it wouldn't have to have vehicles. It could be a Mirror's Edge style chase over the rooftops. Plus, if it is in a vehicle, there are such things as turrets and passenger seats. Maybe something like the Lightjet chase from Tron Legacy, or like an objective gametype in Halo when you have the driver, the gunner, and the passenger holding the macguffin.

Also, where are the characters?

Royce decided he had no where better to run, so he went through the remains of the town. It was a bit hard with all the rubble, but he managed. Eventually he came upon Adam and greeted him as he caught his breath. "Hey. Good to see you're alright." he said. Adam would notice that Royce was looking quite pale and haggard.

Opposite ends of the spectrum I think. Or maybe not. I don't think anyone wants nothing but talking. That's more of a side effect of things like conflicting schedules and a lack of direction. I honestly would not mind going closer to the way WAOA I was run. Like I said a while ago, if we got board, we started a mook battle. That was good stuff in my opinion. Can't really do that here since no one knows anything about this place we are in.

@Rosh: See what I said to @Gear.

Ratsel continued to sit by herself, checking on her rifle. Seeing that it was sufficiently inspected, she deployed her Guarbein Mark II 'Trombe' armor and took off to the skies to look around.
[hr]
Bullet continued her practice.

OOC: @Gear Wandering through the streets.

@Ven Does Corvo have a way to avoid being detected by Jensen's rangefinder?

OOC: Just to demonstrate clashing schedules I'm off to work.
@Berk He knows Jensen can track him so will stay pretty far away. Over 25m at least.

"Over here!" Maya walked out of a nearby building, followed by the rest of the vault hunters. "Someone called?"

@Ven Perfect.

Jensen heard the Vault Hunters call to him in the middle of repeating his broadcast and turned to face them.

"Perfect. I was worried that no one was left. I need a recap. What the hell happened here? I've been busy trying to track the man -or thing- that was stalking us before. Do we know who was responsible for this? How severe are the casualties?"
