Persey was actually playing in the hallway. She had no need for a room, since she didn't sleep. When she finished she smiled up at Jess. "Hello there." she said.

"This is why I don't spend time with other telepaths. Not a moment of real privacy." Ray muttered aloud to himself as he continued clearing ivy from the odd stones outside. "Yeah, whatever makes you happy is all that really matters I suppose. You think you could do me a favor and not dig around in my head? If I want you to hear something, I'll intend for you to hear it."

[hr]

"Hi." Jessica curtly replied to Persephone, not sounding terribly enthusiastic. "Any particular reason you're out here playing music?"

(To Ray: Passive telepathy. I 'hear' thoughts as if they were spoken out loud. It's quite useful when speaking with non-telepaths, and honestly I simply forgot to turn it off.)
Tophat walked out of the warehouse, and looked at the stones.
"Are those gravestones, by any chance?"

"Then would you do me a favor and 'turn it off' then?" As Tophat walked out of the warehouse, he'd see Ray finish clearing the ivy off the last of the stones. There were seven stones made of a rough, grey material, and seven made out of polished black marble, totaling at fourteen. The grey stones looked like they made have been used as crude headstones at one point, but time had worn away any writing that might have adorned them, and now they simply maintained the vague shape of a common grave-marker. The black marble constructs were quite obviously gravestones, being cut and polished into the perfect representation of the easily identifiable figure. Ray stood back up and nodded to Tophat. "Figured if you're the same hat from the book you might want to see them."

[hr]

"It was alright. Not exactly the kind of stuff I like to listen to, but it wasn't bad." Jessica replied to Persephone. Growing tired of simply standing, she stuffed her hands in her pockets and leaned up against the wall of the hallway.

Tophat nodded, silently crouching down in front of one of the gray stones.
"These are all my friends... It was a good time, but far too many died..." - It said, it's voice thick with sorrow.

Ray rested a hand on Tophat's shoulder for a moment. "I understand. Take however much time you need." He said before removing his hand and walking off a short ways away.

[hr]

"I usually like more modern, relaxing sorts of things." Jessica answered.

OoC: @Drak: I gotta ask, who are all the graves for? I came up with five old ones, and four newer.

@Kirke: You could just have Tophat look at them all and/or ask Ray to figure that out.

"Well, kinda yeah. Still not entirely my personal preference though." Jessica replied to Persephone. She started to let her gaze wander around, looking at the decorations that adorned the hallways of the hotel.

Tophat looked closer, trying to discern text in the old rock.
OoC: @Drak: Ah, misread then. I thought that the gray rocks were basically blank.

Any sort of text that may have been chiseled into the form of the gray stones would have been swept away by time and the elements, as the stones now seemed completely blank. Perhaps there was something of note of the more recent looking black marble stones though?

@Kirke: I guess I was just fucking up on what I should be hinting at...

[hr]

"Uh, not sure if I can. We're from entirely different worlds, so anything I say might just come out as gibberish to you. I kinda have an idea though." Jessica reached into her coat and pulled out her visor. She pressed one of the button and two small, speaker-like objects were deposited in her hand. She held out the hand with the speakers in it to Persephone as she started fiddling with the controls using her other hand. "Just stick these in your ears."

Persephone arched an eyebrow as she sent her instrument away with a shade and smoked over to Jess, looking down at the speakers curiously.

Tophat got up and walked over to the closest black stone, crouching down to read the possible text on it.

On the stone Tophat examined was simply written:
Code:
Laguna Loire
The words were carved into the stone, with the carvings inlaid with gold-leaf to make them readable on the black stone. Those words were the only thing on the stone, no dates or words of any other sort.

[hr]

"Uh, if you put these in your ears, I can play some music for you." Jessica said to Persephone, noticing her apprehension at doing what Jessica had said.

You were one hell of a man, Laguna. If only I had been stronger, perhaps you would not have died. Heck, if I was there during those final moments, I would have taken your place in the blink of an eye.
Tophat moved sideways to the next stone, reading the text.

The next stone would have written on it:
Code:
Dionysius
The carving was exactly the same as the first, just as old, same type, same material, same age.

[hr]

Jessica fiddled with the controls on her visor for a little bit. Eventually, music started to play in Persephone's ears, coming from the speakers. Jessica looked over as Persephone, seeming nonchalant.
