Somewhere off the west coast of America
Gilson's head was killing him, maybe he had a bit too much to drink at the celebrations with the other teams. SOS and WK. Both completed projects, both already benefiting humanity. A couple of months and they would release SOS advancements to other software companies to revolutionise AI and computing, while the benefits of WK were already at work as their templates were put under swift production at various factories, masked as owned by other corporations. All that was left was CA, his project, the hardest project he'd ever worked on but also the most interesting and fulfilling.
He was glad the communications room was dark unti a flash blue light split the darkness. He winced and groaned as the outline of a mans face appeared, a halo of blue light around him. "Been celebrating have you? That's good. You won't be stuck on that Rig any longer my friend. We are moving DI to Africa, you will continue work on CA there. A transport is already en route. Conditions will be more streamlined now, with WK and SOS complete we can focus reserve funds on the CA project. The rest of the money goes to Tombstone, production and training:"
Gilson nods curtly, he didn't like being stuck on this Rig. "That's fair enough, was going over the reports of the mission failure earlier. Despite the outcome we still proved that Tombstone Dropships can operate in complete stealth, right under XPOL."
"There's another operation due, we are going to see if these immortals that Helena is so proud of are up to scratch. Prep yourself for departure in 2 hours" the com line then went silent and darkness returned, much to Gilsons delight.
"An hour to recover then an hour to pack" he smirked before laboriously standing up with a groan and hobbling out of the com room.
