I had a killer prank all set up for the office I used to work at;
Worker A and Worker B get in to some small meaningless fight in the kitchen, said fight draws a crowd, A stabs B in the stomach with a big knife, B screams as they collapse, B then reveals it was a specially constructed fake blood pack. A good laugh is had by all.

I never did many pranks, but the science geeks at my undergrad did a pretty good job- they turned one of the professors's offices into a satanic altar, with a human skeleton, candles and masking-tape pentagram.
Art students' pranks aren't really pranks, but things that just kinda stay in the studio for 7 years or so, 'cause they're so "artsy and creative."
