Yes while it may be taboo in America It isn't so much in country's like Japan, where it seem's to be included in a lot of their work, especially these types of games.

That being said I want to play this if not just for the presentation.

Because apart from that profoundly fucked up premise, I don't see how that's really going to make it any different from something like, say Monster Rancher/Digimon/Pokemon.

I'm happy for any sort of originality these days, I say go for it. It's a standard sort of find X amount of things to complete the quest on the inside, but at least it wasn't crystal fragments or pieces or a sword or something. If anyone is offended by this they need to get a life, although from what I've read here not many people are. Still, I'm sure there's some group or other that will be happy to take the stupidity limelight if it's ever released in the US.
