I think there should be more rocket launchers. There are plenty of games with rocket launchers in them but it's always just a special weapon and you only rarely get to use it. Borderlands is one of the few games that lets you use a rocket launcher as your primary weapon.

bayonets are underused. as well as sabers.
Problem: ones you take off a bayonet you have a knife.

I personally think that canes are underused, a good walking cane is a movement aid first and a personal defense weapon second.
Or at least that's how I feel, plus its a unique weapon used by Sly Cooper, and I love Sly Cooper and more games reminding me of it would be awesome!
Are you suggesting there be a game where you play Andrew "Old Hickory" Jackson?
Call of Duty: 1812. It shall be. Canes replace knives, and Andrew Jackson is the new sgt foley. RAMIREZ!! TAKE OUT THOSE BRITS WITH MY CANE!

I think the most undeservingly disregarded weapon of all games is the disc primit.
In TRON 2.0 it gave you a guided projectile with considerable damage (if you had the megahurtz and the primit charge subroutine), a zoom function (with triangulation) and absolutely no ammo use, which was able to kill pretty much any enemy if you got a headshot in. It also doubled as a shield against other discs, which would then turn into a projectile for your cause as well, being deflected at high speed towards the enemy, breaking shields and completely shattering the attacker.

Also, with cluster and sequencer routines, it was the most versatile weapon, useable as a quick-firing assault weapon and an explosive projectile.

I like the disc :)

I want to see a game other than call-of-duty use a shotgun under-barrel attachment for an assault rifle.

Why? Because I want two guns in one that's why.

Although I did like that Black Ops also gave me the option to put a flamethrower on my gun, too bad it was terrible but I still liked that I could.

So basically I want more games to let me put other weapons on my guns, maybe in Modern Warfare 3 I'll be able to put an assault rifle on my assault rifle.

Well, Jackson is more known for the cane after he retired from the military and beating an (attempted) assailant to (near) death.

Scythe! Idc if it's a "garden tool" I don't play fantasy games because they make sense. Also those ninja sickle and chain things, those are bad ass but never used.

I have never seen a mace and chain done, but someone mentioned that it might be difficult to animate? Idk it's obviously not as simple as a single solid weapon, it has many parts and if you take shortcuts it may just look like a solid weapon but i really have no idea.
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess has a ball and chain

I want a game where your primary is just a pistol. Dude just running around with a m1911 is more badass than a guy with a shotgun or lightsaber.

MGS4 had shotgun attachments for several weapons, almost all the weapons in the game were modular. You could also add under-barrel grenade launchers (with several types of ammo, lethal and otherwise) and extra grips for stability.

Too bad I never used any weapons in the game, because I always did no-kill stealth runs.

I so agree. In Goldeneye007 (1997) I would always use the DD4 pistol for the entire game, only grudgingly subbing out for something else when it would run out of ammo.

EDIT: I don't think a pistol should be the only available weapon, it always felt cooler to ignore the giant machine guns and rocket lasers in my arsenal for a pistol.

I think there should be a game where you play as Rogue and can kill people just by touching them. Also, are there any games where you can use bayonets?
there were bayonets in Call of Duty: World at War

and for my own input, electricity guns, like a flamethrower but with electricity, the only examples i can thing of are the elctro gel ammo for the chemical thrower in Bioshock 1, the gun that shoots shurikens (another underused weapon) and lightening from Painkiller, and the elctro tool from Time Splitters: Future Perfect.

Katars. Also known as punching daggers. they are incredibly awesome, plus you can wear wrist straps to make them secondary weapons (in case you drop your sword)

This one.

[spoiler/][image/]http://dylan.tweney.com/images/nutcracker.jpg[/IMG]
So weird. An entire theater play dedicated to it, and it so rarely appears as a weapon...

Bows and arrows

or crossbows

Not explosive tip like COD: Black Ops regular arrows. Silent kills. Plus a knife.
Hell yeah. Am I the only one who really wanted to have a longbow in Assassin's Creed 1? It would have been so damn awesome. :D

There actually is a character that uses one in Grandia III. Fantastic game. I wish there was more use of a Bo in video games as a not shit weapon.

More games should have katars, especially insanely elaborate ones.

Come to think of it, do Illidan Stormrage's weapons count as katars? They're pretty cool.
