Weapons You Would Like To See More Of In Games

I liked gears of war torque bow, bring back old weapons, and also laser cats, I demand more laser cats! Or maybe a gun shooting spinning blades. Now that I think about it, i am ok with ordinary guns.

I think games should have the electric gun the aliens have in district 9, you know the one where the guy explodes when he gets hit with it (hmm that kinda made me sound insane)
I'd like to see more over the top, unrealistic guns. These days, it's all about perfect realism and simulation and everything... we're GAMERS. Most of us began our gaming careers bouncing a white box off of white rectangles or eating mushrooms and jumping on turtles. It didn't have to make sense then, and just because the graphics got better doesn't mean it has to now. (I would argue that developers need to use available resources to make their games look good, but that realistic physics engines and detailed graphics don't necessarily mean your game has to follow the laws of physics in our world)
How about some lightning guns? Either a strong, fast bolt of lightning, or a continuous stream arcing from target to target. Let's put those processors to work while we're at it and make some realistic electric conductivity stuff, too. How about more shiny overpowered guns (and enemies while we're at it)? There's a certain satisfaction in shooting a triple nuke launcher at a horde of monsters.

Having played my way through MW2, the gun I most enjoyed was not the superduper top of the line type stuff, but the old 1887 Shotgun found in the cold, dead hands of some of the Militia.

I've used this weapon ... but only on a firing range, and I can tell you it's a terrible weapon. Notorious for its constant jams and inaccuracy. Compared to the other small arms i've been lucky enough to fire, I found it rather awful!WINDOWCLEAN2 said:

That, or a wrist mounted pole that, when you role your hand down to avoid getting hit, you hit a button and launch a 4" to 2 foot (Arm fully extended adds an additional portion to the pole. Also, not like the blade in Assassin's Creed. That was a small blade used for close quarters assassinations. I'm talking about what is basically a inflexible metal tendril.

More improvised weaponry. Pick up a stick, impale someone with it. Grab the drawer off an old desk and shove it down someones throat.
