The winning comic is really great, I'm amazed at the quality that came out of this contest. Also, congratulations to the escapist for getting quality stuff out of this contest.

I'm also grateful for having my comic "Fables from the Rift" in the list of honorable mentions. not really sure why, but thanks. did anyone like it at all? i figured it got the mention as a curiosity at best.

Ahaha, I'm really not feelin' much of anything noteworthy. Like I said in the other thread, I just see this as a drop in the bucket of jobs I've applied for. I wrote to about thirty studios when I was looking for work over the summer and of that I got one formal rejection and one place hired me, the rest I may as well have just been throwing resumes into a hole. But I'm a firm believer in the universe just clicking into place eventually, because the job I did get was a show for Comedy Central full of everything that I love to draw.

Just gotta remember not to take things too personally and not get too hung up on defeats, because the victories that follow up eventually are fukken awesome.

I liked it quite a bit. I've got a thing for the odd fable or so. And the child like cutouts do wonders for it.

Though, for reasons I'm sure you're aware of too, I gotta wonder why it'd be on a gamer site.

Well, I see that the winner is great, and it is also regretable that the Many Men Doing Many Things will also not be featured, as that is another that I would actually continue to read.... However, most of my favorite webcomicsanimations seem to die somewhere down the line, or lose vast amounts of steam... (Fanboys, VGcats, PerfectKirby, The Awsome Series by egoraptor)....

Anyways, heres the obligitory link to my comic, which, as usual, I would also dismiss as crap because it has been more than 24 hours since I have drawn it.

Pencil, Pen, Paper, Scanner, MSpaint.... Thought of the stuff, and drawn at 2am, finding out about the contest 8 days before it closed. Critique is welcome, feel free to PM me on it if you dont wish to take up forum space.

Can't have that - It's got great four-colour art, but the story doesn't always come across. For example, comic 1 doesn't really say what's happening. I can imagine that all the A's are violent people, but does that mean the girl's pressing X are all into lesbianism???
There needs to be a bit of a pause between the lead-up and the punchline, as comic 3 draws your attention to the lift before the idea of the level up joke gets in.
