Whatever you do don't do the throw up method because it contracts your stomach and when you eat you regain the weight much quicker, also with no calories to convert to energy your body goes mental.

Get a tape worm.

I kid.

Well like you said, Cardio and less Calories.

Controll your Carbs, espcially late at night.

Protien shakes to replace meals.

A little bit of weight training, it releases chemicals that improve metabolism.

Liquid/soft foods are good too. Hope this helps.

I desperately need to lose weight, and fast. I really want to have a much thinner body, (I don't care about muscles) and i have tried a lot. Can anyone please give me advice on how to lose a great deal of weight, and quickly. Please, no snide/stupid or trolling comments. And please just don't say cardio and fruit. I will switch to a lifestyle "diet" when a lose the first "chunk" of weight. Also I am up for anything as long as it isn't surgery, really expensive, or dangerous to the point of hospital or death. (I also have work and school so i can't do anything special after a meal besides dinner.)
I have a friend who was about 120kg, he ate pretty unhealthily and didn't exercise at all, but one day he decided to lose weight. He stopped eating lunch (I didn't agree with the skipping lunch thing) and ran at least 5km a day at least 3 days a week. After like 2-3months he's now 100kg and looks way better than he used to. Before and after pictures look crazy!

It all starts with your diet. Try and eat healthier. If you buy your own food then the power is in your hands, instead of buying snacks, buy healthy meals and don't snack. Cook your own food, exercise daily (especially if you want to lose it fast). If you don't like running, try cycling (if you don't have a bike, use a gym), if you don't like cycling, try swimming. If you get your heart rate up and keep it up while exercising (Push yourself!) then your body will burn that fat you want to lose :)

Good luck mate.

Gaining muscle will help you lose fat due to the increased metabolism. Cardio is a must, like it or not. However, you should opt for the least stressful types of cardio (bikes, ellipticals, swimming) to protect your knees and feet. When you get slimmer, running becomes more of a viable option, but don't go overboard and get yourself injured, thereby setting yourself back. Control your cravings by providing yourself alternatives (Yogurt over Ice Cream, fruit over cookies and chips). If you tend to finish meals quickly, try eating slower. This allows you to realize you are full sooner, before you've downed the whole plate and then some. Also, slowly decrease your portion sizes. This is probably the hardest thing because culture-at-large has no clue what an adequate portion size is. Lastly, get advice from people other than a gaming community. There is an overwhelming amount of information on the web on weight loss, much of it giving conflicting advice. When I lost a lot of my weight (gained over the course of 2 years of leg and foot injuries), I used WebMd as a tool because I knew the information was coming from professionals. Good luck.

I've never been fat, stupid metabolism won't let me put on weight. I'm classed as unhealthyly underweight. To lose wight you don't have to eat less, unless you are eating to much. Just make sure to eat healthier. Also do little thing that you wouldn't normally do to help you work out. A good one was while watching TV stand up and sit down through the programme. Little things like that will use up energy and slowly work off fat.

Spend 6 weeks on a purely liquid diet.

After I had surgery on my jaw, I went through that and lost 30 lbs.

Less calories, more nutrition, cardio on a regular basis. Bam, weight loss.

Then switch to adequate calories, keeping the nutrition, and continuing cardio on a regular basis.

Basically, you will look the way you live. You can accelerate with more extreme versions, but your baseline will be set based on your lifestyle. Your body's weight will just adjust to match. So you can do a moderate diet, and your body will match slowly and stay that way. Or do a crash diet, drop a ton of weight, then gain it all back when you revert to your old diet. If you can do it, do a crash diet then a moderate diet, and somehow resist the urge to revert just a liiiitttle bit more.

At least a 20min fast walk every day, before you eat is good too as it will increase your metabolism. Cut down of unhealthy foods and more small meals is better than a few large ones. Or go to a gym and get them to give you a program, they should give you exactly what you need. But that can be expensive. And just so you know weights wont help you loose weight, if you are doing it right you will put on muscle and you will experience weight gain. Cardio work is what you want, not weights.

A few things: firstly regular excersice. 45min to 1h of excersice that leaves you sweating but not incapable of speech. The idea is to burn calories and human body begins to burn fat after ~30 minutes of excersice.

Badminton, skiing, swimming, tennis etc excersices where the whole body is moving are best. Remember to keep to the limit of sweating but not breathless or incapable of speech. Slowly this limit will begin to rise, you need to increase your excersice intensity to match it. Instead of going for a fixed distance, go for a fixed speed.

Do this 4 times a week, 5 if you can. Do not eat within the hour before doing this though, a full stomach will just kill your energy.

Next: watch your food. Cut chips, ice-cream, chocolate, soft drinks etc to the absolute minimum. Best is if you don't eat them at all, but we all fall and falter sometimes so it's not too bad as long as you keep excersicing. If you are like I used to be, addicted to those stuffs, make at first two days a week a candy day: 100g max total of candies, chocolate whatever is allowed on those two weekdays. After a few weeks, remove one of these days.

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY: Normal meals. Avoid pizza, fast-food joints, KFC and other places like those. Eat three meals a day (one of these being breakfast), plus an unlimited number of fruits and vegetables. On meals, fill 1/3 to half your plate with veggies and greens. 1/4th with fish, meat etc protein and the rest with rise, pasta, potatoes or similar. Do not go for seconds, do not eat more than what you can fill on your plate. At first, if and when you begin to feel hunger from the reduced meals, eat apples, klementines and other fruits as snacks. Try to stay away from bread that isn't full-grain. As days roll by, reduce the portions you eat at meals little by little, until you find a balanced portion size that leaves you satiated but energetic for three to four hours.

Think of it this way. Each day you have a set of points available. A full plate of rise, potatoes, meat, fish and such represents all your points. You must not go over the points limit. Every time you do, it adds to the distance you'd need to run in order to achieve the effect if you would have gained if you hadn't gone over the limit.

But at the same time, all points must be used. Not eating enough is just as dangerous as eating too much.

And in all this, veggies, fruits cost no points. You can eat as much of them as you want.

The idea behind this is to make you stop going for a candy bar or a soft drink when you feel low on energy, and isntead go for a healthy option. This can be like kicking a habit. I know from experience. But once you do kick it, everything becomes so much easier, because those candies and soft drinks contain insane amounts of energy and once you stop that influx of sugar and fats, regular excersice begins to bring noticeable results within weeks.

However, the downside to all this: there is no quick fix. Any change that is to stay must being from your lifestyle, and your body will change to mirror that lifestyle. Dehydration diets, 5-day celebrity weight-losses, magic pills that make you fit without excersice etc... they don't work. Or rather, they work for a few days or less, after which any weight lost will be regained.

start slowly with with about a mile jog several times a week. After a week or two start increasing the distance you go. It seems simple but i lost like 40 lbs one summer with this as my main exercise.

Don't eat junk food (okay we all eat it sometimes, but not every other day, right?). Learn to cook, cook your own food, make it healthy. Eat lots of low-fat protein, meat isn't always the best source. SakSak has good eating advice a few posts before mine. Do not "go on a diet". Just make permanent changes to your eating habits.

Walk at least half an hour per day, every day. The more the better, an hour is good. Do not run, do not jog. Walk. Walk to work if you have a job, walk to school if you go to school. Other exercise is great too and will make you healthier but don't substitute walking for it. If you do a sport do sport plus walking.

Don't lose weight too fast. Seriously. It's not a race. I know you don't want to hear that but if you lose weight too fast your body won't have time to readjust and you'll go all saggy and look even worse. You'll also probably put the weight back on anyway. Slow steady weight loss is more effective and sustainable.

I'm sidestepping the issue by getting a full time job doing trail maintenance at a local national park for the summer. 40 hour weeks, $12 per hour, completely outdoors, physical labor...

I know it's going to be killer, but I hope to come out of it tanner, thinner, and far more wealthy.

Quickly? No all that stuff is crap.

And strech marks you don't want.
Seriously, I lost 40 pounds and kept if off. Gym three times a week on simple cardio. Eat what you enjoy and find a way to make it healthier.

I found these Jenn-o brand turkey burgers and hotdogs. Don't suck and have bout 140 cals each and like 60 from fat. Portion control...don't get a double Whopper get a a Jr size.

Sushi, cutting out of cooked meat helped a lot.

The water drinking thing still not sure it helped, but if you train up your body to have a ton of water on hand you don't retain.

No soda period. High Fuc corn syrup is like the fat maker...avoid.

Booze rarely. It took me almost 9 months to watch my gut go from a 38 to a 33 and it was so gradual...

Just keep in mind what ya eat, and avoid the chems. Most weight lost chems are nothing but caffine and liver destroying junk that do NOT work.

I'm basically metabolism man, so I'm skinny as my avatar and I'm trying to get fit (just to be faster and see what its like to have a few muscles) and what works for me is running as if a prison plooker is behind me for about 10 mins a day. Won't get you to bone bag level but it should work.

Drop weight quickly? Ok, first, make sure you're actually overweight. Don't get into a "I'm so fat and disgusting" attitude when you're only 10 pounds overweight. This can happen to men too.

Count your calories. Eat about 1200-1400/day. Most people need in the 2000-2400 range for maintenance. Drop down to 1200-1400/day. I recommend literally eating half of your normal foods. Eat half that pizza, one burger instead of two, that sort of thing. Don't worry about putting your body into "starvation mode" too much. Even with low metabolism, your body will still require more calories than you're taking in. (Thus, you'll still burn fat.)

Drink zero-calorie drinks. Water, diet whatever, just make it zero calorie. Find something you like. Orange juice is nice, but it doesn't make you full, and it has tons of calories. So stop drinking it. Yes, I know there's all that hippie-bullshit about artificial sweetners out there. That's a personal decision you'll have to make.

Exercise is nice, but if you go for a run, burn 300 calories, then come home and eat 800 calories of whatever (healthy or not) you're not going to lose weight. The math isn't there.

Do you smoke? Don't stop then. It's a great weight-loss tool. Hungry? Have a cigarette. Worked for me when I dropped 40 lbs in less than two months. (It's what Christian Bale did for "The Machinist") Don't start smoking to lose weight though. Quitting is actually difficult. "But I have incredible will-power." No, you don't. You wouldn't need to lose weight if you did. Plus, quitting makes you eat.
