I don't know much (anything) about space science, but maybe it's light from something that exploded in space thousands of years ago and the light has only just reached us due to the distance, and because it was night time and Norway happened to be in the right place at the right time, it shone rather visibly.

Other than that crackpot theory, I'm out of ideas.

How do you know the site isn't saying: "A bunch of people saw this"

Then another site see's whats on the first site, and so on.

It happens all the time, unless you personally know 2 separate people who saw this, you can't really say for sure it's not bullshit.
