People assume I am, or am going to become, the Joker. I do a pretty good impression, certainly, and I've never really given anyone the impression that I'm particularly sane, but I'm not quite batshit enough to start murdering indiscriminatly.
Have you ever shown any of them a magic trick?

Everyone assumes I'm gay after a little while of knowing me... I mean really, almost everyone, if I start to build a friendship with someone after about a month I'll eventually get asked "So, are you gay?" or the more subtle one "so, do you have a boyfriend or anything?" unless I've mentioned something beforehand which cements my straightness.

It's a lot of little things apparently... Some of my interests, personality traits, music taste, some of my mannerisms, dress sense and the fact that I have more female friends than male friends. At least this is what people have told me; I admit I'm definitely not a guyish guy overall and I'm happy this way.

It doesn't bother me in the slightest, I'm completely confident with myself and my sexuality. Unless there's a woman I'm interested in who thinks I'm gay. Then it ain't so good. :(

More specifically one utilizing pencils?

There was a christian street preacher who basically forced some of his 'soul saving' leaflets on me and some friends only to then ask if I was jewish...

That reminds me, some guy once asked me if I was Christian, despite the fact that I wear a Star of David.

I don't think this is weird but people assume that because I'm brown I listen to bollywood music and know how to cook curry.

What's worse is people come up to me and say things like "Play me some of your music"

They don't mean my music as in crappy synth lines that I right, they mean my people's music and I find it insanely racist and ignorant.

Can't they just ask me "What kind of music do you like?" instead of assuming shit?

I don't assume every black guy I know eats waffles and fried chicken when I meet them because that's a stereotype.

People seem to assume I'm either on illegal drugs or that I smoke. This isn't exactly contested by the fact that I tend to offer nothing but cryptic and confusing responses for my own amusement. :p

My gran thinks Im a lesbian.....not sure why. When i was 7 I once said I felt more like a boy(just because all my neighbors that I played with at the time were boys, not my fault)and she hasnt forgotten...to the point of asking me at the age of 18 if I was 'gender confused'. One im not gender confused, im straight and have had several boyfreinds, sure she hasnt seen me in a dress in a while but i do wear them, Iv recently taken to wearing semi-gothic black lace-up boots....and she said once that they dominatrix boots(they are not), also she has an unhealthy obsession with little children/babies and as the oldest of 5 kids I see them as mainly a noisy hassle (I do want children of my own eventually but but ill keep my distance for the mmoment).
Oh and in school for years 9 and 10 I was kinda quiet and for somereason everyone thought i was upset and kept asking me if
I was alright. GRR... I dont appretiate being misunderstood.

I think girls think I'm a sex offender. They get really nervous whenever they're alone with me. I can't really blame them, though, I'm 6'7" and it would be super easy.

Also, there seems to be a rather widespread epidemic of people who think "gay" and "abstinent" are the same thing. Really, I'm abstinent, and when people find out I always get that "OMG ur gae????!!!11" type statement. Not only is this annoying, but one time this one guy tried to "cure" me of my abstinence by trying to hook me up with some slut he knew. I had to threaten him with a restraining order to make him realize I was serious.

This one's not as pertinent as it is funny, but one time one of my friends asked me if I was Jewish, apparently on the grounds that I have a prominent Roman nose, curly dark-brown hair, and there was this one blond, blue-eyed girl in my class who hated me intensely for no apparent reason.

Apparently I've been 23 for about 11 years now. When I was younger than that everyon assumed I was older. Now that I'm much older than that everyone thinks I'm younger. It obviously has to do with the beard because my twin brother never gets this.

Though weirder is the constant assumption that I have an explosive violent temper, love beating people up, or some variation therof. This has to do with my having a large frame and being 6 and a half feet tall and having "intense" blue eyes. All my brothers (who are all taller than me BTW) get the same thing. The size also makes people just generally nervous around me. Until my friendly personality wins them over. This was an especially big hurdle on the dating scene until I got out of high school.

I share your pain fellow giant. I share your pain.

My oldest brother is 6'10" and a homosexual so I really do wonder how that whole 'everyone i wanna date is afraid of me' thing played out for him back when he wasn't in a committed relationship. (which he has been for like 16 years)

Apparently I look like Charlie Sheen. So I guess they must think I beat my girlfriends while drunk.

It's often assumed that I was not born in Australia. But thats due to my mixed up heritage. Jewish/Gypsy/Welsh/Scottish/Spanish

Some people find me threatening for some reason when I'm not all. I'd rather be your friend than some dick. it may be due to playing rugby alot and being 6'2 and still growing. I think I'm taller than 6'2 now because I am taller than my brother now.

People generally assume I'm straight. Odd, considering I've never hooked up with a girl. I guess people just assume I've done that as well.

Also: my cousin thought I was some kind of computer whiz since I had joined some anti-censorship and pro R18 classification Facebook groups. And because I play videogames.

People think that I'm good with girls, honestly half the time I have no idea what to do, unless I'm dating them.

OT: People think I'm either a genius because I'm a maths teacher, the second coming of Jesus, because I'm a teacher, or a complete idiot because I stay silent a lot of the time.

A woman from work thought i was gay. It was due to an joke conversation about me going on a 'man-date'; me and a manager from work went to the movies and saw Saw III. The funniest thing about it though was the guy i went to the movies with was this woman's nephew, and is married.

I just posted this in another thread but in highschool it was assumed that my best friend and I were colombine kids because my friend whos parents are super religious found a vampire the masquerade book and a couple books on paganism in his room and brought them up to the school. I had to sit down with the principal and the school police officer and explain how I had no intentions to shoot up there school, I was just interested in things they didnt agree with.

people also assume im going to hell. which i find hilarious.

Some people think I'm gay for some reason. It's probably because sometimes I act really childish in a, girly sort of way (as a joke though. I think I get it from my ADHD :p)

I have a girlfriend who I love, so meh, maybe they are just bored (and yeah I understand most of them are joking around, but some think it's serious >.<)
