I thought American McGee's: Alice was a totally jacked up premise for a video game. It was so dark and messed up, nothing like the books or movie.
I loved the story and gameplay, but the end video just absolutely destroyed the entire experience for me.

For me it would be curling. I just don't get it.

Videodrome.

Fucking Videodrome.
After researching a bit, I have reached the irrefutable conclusion that Videodrome is some fucked-up shit.

Picmin?

A childrens game based on using hordes of teensy shrubs to brutally butcher insects for numbered tokens that give you more shrubs to replace the slaves that you have just thrown in to the meatgrinder, who live in flying onions. All set in a bug sized version of our own world where oxygen is poisonous to the main character, who is a space captain (a really bad one), which will kill him in a short while, requiring you to find a large amount of relatively meaningless and seemingly indestructible ship components (as well as a few important ones), all within a set time limit. All so he can ditch his new found slaves at the first opportunity and return to his space based existence, showing no appreciation for their hard work, toil and sacrifice and leaving them to fend for themselves. Also night time is evil and to be hidden from throughout.

A very weird concept that seemingly sends pretty mixed signals, if not bad ones, to children... but is relatively amusing for everyone else if a bit annoying due to the time constraints.

insert anything by tim burton...

luckily it's all pretty good

What about Charlie And The Chocolate Factory? And Planet Of The Apes?
I really don't get the hate on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I actually loved it. It was just a different movie with the same storyline. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of Gene Wilder. As far as I'm concerned, Tim Burton and Roald Dhall are like peanut butter and chocolate.

I nominate Arkanoid for weirdest video game concept. You're invading a huge alien spaceship by . . . bouncing a ball off some bricks. Yeah, this makes sense.

Most of the really inventive and unique video games are based on a really weird idea. It's the ones that aren't that are boring and no fun to play.

Putting the keyboard keys in the order they are in now, instead of left to right, "a" to "z". I can only imagine how much of a pain in the ass it was to figure THAT out.
Back in the day people were typing to fast on their typewriters so they made the QWERTY keyboard to freak people out.
If I remember right it was designed so that the more commonly used letters were quickly and easily accessible.

I'll tell you what's weird, Rayman 3 is weird. So weird, in fact, that it's one of my favourite games of all time.

I can't think of anything that people haven't allready said.
Well, maybe Big Brother, but that could be counted as a cheapshot.

*Points at One Piece*

Pirates, people eating magic fruit to get superpowers, giant poodle-parrot-fish monsters, dragons, giants, a talking Pirate ship, a Cyborg that runs on Cola, guys who lose half their blood, break most of their bones and get up the next day happy as larry...

Awesome... I mean... weird...

Wolf's Rain comes close, also Monty Python.

That gave me the willies when I first played it
Yeah, it was a bit on the spooky side, that's for sure!

Yeah, the end could have been way better, but hopefully, they'll remake that game and fix all the loose ends.
