Positively Neutral!

My user name, Innegativeion, (pronounced "in-negative ion", by the way) was actually inspired by a high school chemistry teacher.

See, he never bothered memorizing anyone's name, like at all. So instead, he had a nickname for every single student. My real name is Ian, so he would call me ion. For some reason I never made the incredibly obvious similarities between my name and an atom that has lost or gained an electron, and found it rather clever.

So that's where the ion comes from. The rest, well basically it's nonsense humor while also trying to be easy to say. "In"negative of course implies not negative. An ion without a negative charge would have a positive charge, so why not just say it's positive? Yeah, kind of silly... but it sounds cool.

I've liked the drow ever since fighting against them in Curse of the Azure Bonds. They had the best equipment (that you had to cheat to keep), and my next most-common name, Drow Lord, is taken directly from one of the hardest enemies you could fight. Sons a' bitches were almost impossible to hit, could pound you like a truck, and had that annoying spell resistance all dark elves had. It was something to aspire to.

Also, my first D&D character was, in fact, a Neutral (on the ethical and moral axis) Drow.

I saw the 3 on my keyboard and thought "hey when you hit shift+3 what's that symbol called? Oh yeah a hashtag...wait hashtag? YES" Or I might've been thinking about twitter. Either way.

Tiger, well it dwells into the furry side of me. And its a long story. And luckily I can't be arsed to tell the tale.

Sora. This name came from the character from the anime .Hack Sign.
This handsome fellow I related to.

And well thats all you shall need to know.

Mine was a butchering of the name of one of my creations in Spore.

Originally, I was going with scorpatious when I was creating my Youtube account, but I replaced the 'p' with a 't' by accident. Looking at it now, I say it's much better name. :)

So that's why I decided to use it. Because it sounded nice.

Do I even have to explain...
How in the world did no-one have the handle Batman? Did all of us not even try because we knew it would be taken?

OT:
Translates as dark/black frost, because I'm a dark person and my favorite element is water/ice.

This is all:

EDIT: I should probably expand, to avoid a warning...

Well I live in a certain part of The UK...and when I was strolling through a farm shop, I saw this and...well, I was sold.

There was also another product called "Multi-lamb rapid" which was equally as hilarious when picturing what it might actually be for...

One day, I bought Gears of War. What followed was four years of pure curb-stomping, the way we were meant to fight (I've always wondered what the "B" button was for. Never found a time to use it. Maybe one day I will...).

I came up with it one day when I, for no good reason, I was trying to imagine what a Canadian Transformer would be like. Incidentally what I came up with was a giant robot that transformed into a snowmobile and talked like Bob and Doug McKenzie, who's name obviously was Canadamus Prime.

As for why I chose it for the Escapist, well it was either that or the other username I regularly use 'CanadianSaiyan,' but when I was signing up for this site something told me that using that one wouldn't be such a good idea. And considering the luke warm at best, torches and pitch forks at worst feelings regarding anime around here it seems my instincts where spot on.

gdf, short for Global Defense Force, taken from the video game Godzilla: Unleashed despite the name also being used by other franchises.

It's from my favorite book. Coupled with the picture, any guesses?
Oh, I'm never good with riddles. Every time I try to answer them, I get them wrong. But I am always drawn to them.
I guess you could call it a lose-lose situation? :D

I had a running joke with some people, over on the almost-dead forum for a 2D fan remake of Metroid Prime (which we're working on restarting soon), about Phazon Flakes, which, if you've played Metroid Prime, you'll get. My name is just an abbreviation of that. It's deceptively simple.

Because I'm unique and creative like that. People as me, "what's a Pinray?" I tell them, "You're looking at it." :)

From a book by my favourite author (Alistair Reynolds, if you must know).

Apparently it also means something in Japanese, a weapon of some kind. Which suits me just fine. :p

It's the tarot card spelt wrong.

Also firelegendmushroom on other sites, which is meant to be a combination of Fire Emblem, Legend of Zelda and Mario, my favourite game series at the time.

In more recently created usernames, I go by ImperialSunlight as half a Dark Souls reference and half a reference to The Emperor tarot card (sans the typo).

I played Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour and one of the commanders for the GLA is named Doctor Thrax, who uses a more potent and deadlier version of Anthrax in his arsenal, stronger than what the GLA already uses. Honestly, I just liked the way Dr. Thrax sounds... -Hangs head in shame-
